Highlights

An impressive Minior model crafted by a skilled Pokemon enthusiast has garnered attention on social media, displaying their exceptional artistry.

Motivated by the absence of merchandise featuring their beloved Pokemon, the fan took it upon themselves to fashion a unique decorative piece for their personal space.

The model was printed in separate sections using 3D technology, and the design plans were released at no cost, which increased accessibility for those interested in constructing their own Minior model.

A skilled admirer of Pokemon successfully crafted an exceptional Minior model entirely by themselves, and subsequently shared their accomplishment on social media. Shortly after, an image of their creative masterpiece emerged online, followed by another fan's display of a remarkable painting encompassing all Generation 2 Pokemon.

Introduced in Pokemon Sun and Moon, Minior is one of the 38 Pokemon that cannot be caught in any of the Switch games. Despite this, it has a dedicated fan base and is often the subject of fan art and crafting projects.

A recent fan creation of Minior was made by Reddit user SpilledPuddle. They designed an impressive model of Minior, complete with a small base that represents its ability to fly. The figurine not only showcases the Pokemon's flying capabilities but also doubles as a decorative piece for any room. According to SpilledPuddle, the lack of satisfactory merchandise featuring their favorite Pokemon motivated them to create their own real-life version of Minior.

This rendition of the Generation 7 Pokemon, Minior, is based on its shiny variant. The author did not disclose the time it took to design the figurine, but confirmed that it was 3D-printed in parts and assembled later. SpilledPuddle generously shared the blueprints for free, enabling anyone to 3D-print their own Minior model. The design consists of 11 single-color components, making it more cost-effective to manufacture compared to full-color 3D printing, which can be quite expensive.

While some fans admired SpilledPuddle's efforts, others took the opportunity to express their disappointment that catching a Minior is not possible on Nintendo's latest console. Aside from the 3DS games, Minior has only appeared in two other titles. It first appeared in the 2015 match-3 puzzler Pokemon Shuffle, and later made an appearance in New Pokemon Snap. Although Minior is technically present on the Switch in these spin-off games, players are not able to actually catch Pokemon.

Game Freak has recently announced that the upcoming DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will potentially bring about a shift in the current situation. This is due to the introduction of new Pokemon. While there is no official confirmation yet on whether Minior will be included in the returning creature pool, data-mining efforts from late June have revealed an in-game description of a Red Core Minior, indicating its possible presence.
