MF Ghost episode 7 recap

In the previous episode, MFG's top racer, Kouki Sawatari, made a choice to prioritize Sana's birthday and spend the day with her rather than participating in the race. Despite his determination to not miss the special occasion, it meant sacrificing his chance to race.
Meanwhile, Ishigami, equipped with the best engine, found himself in a challenging position as he tried to overtake Beckenbauer and regain the lead in the race. At the same time, Ogata voiced concerns about Kanata potentially wearing out his tires due to his fast driving, which could lead to losing control. Nonetheless, Kanata's confidence remained unshaken as he had acquired thorough knowledge about tire conservation during his time at the academy.
He posited that it would be advantageous to steer clear of tire damage, yet concluded that it would be even more detrimental to forgo their complete utilization. As the race progressed into the descending portion of the second lap, Kanata resumed accelerating.
