However, catching this fish might be a bit of a challenge as they prefer colder waters like those found in Tabantha or Hebra regions. Unlike Hyrule Bass or Ancient Arowanas, Chillfin Trout are not as easily obtainable.

Chillfin Trout Location (TotK)

Players may find it beneficial to gather as many Chillfin Trout as possible per area in Tears of the Kingdom. This is because these fish can be used to upgrade a specific armor set. It's important to note that Chillfin Trout should not be mistaken for Frozen Trout, despite their similar names. While Frozen Trout provides heat-resistance, it cannot be cooked unlike the versatile Chillfin Trout.

The Chillfin Trout is a rare fish that can be found in Zora's Domain and Tama Pond. Catching them in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess can be quite challenging due to the absence of Remote Bombs, which were present in its predecessor Breath of the Wild. To catch these elusive fish, players will have to jump into the water and swim after them or use arrows to reel them in.
