Kirara's Elemental Skill is crucial to her kit, but players may not fully understand its different aspects. This can ultimately affect her overall performance. It's important to pay attention to the details and avoid making common mistakes in order to maximize the utility of her kit.

Kirara possesses a unique elemental skill in Genshin Impact that can be activated through tapping or holding the skill button. What sets her apart from other characters with similar mechanics is her ability to transform into a cat-like parcel box known as the Urgent Neko Parcel state when the skill is held. This form not only provides Kirara with a strong shield, but also greatly increases her movement and climbing speed, making her an ideal companion for exploration.

During combat, the hold mode also deals damage to enemies and can apply Dendro, making it a viable option for offensive maneuvers. However, players should be mindful of the skill's maximum duration of 10 seconds, as using it for that long will result in a longer cooldown that could potentially put the team at a disadvantage in terms of DPS output. As such, it is recommended to primarily use the tap mode during combat for shield generation, unless extensive Dendro application is specifically required at that moment.

Considering Kirara's shielding capability as her primary aspect, it is recommended for players to prioritize upgrading her Elemental Skill to maximize her shielding potential. Enhancing her Elemental Burst can be the next consideration. Her Normal Attack should be the last priority since Kirara is a support character with limited on-field time. Skipping the upgrade of her Normal Attack can help players save resources.

Focusing solely on Kirara's HP as a means to strengthen her shield may not be the most effective strategy. It is important for players to consider other stats in order to fully utilize Kirara's potential as a Dendro enabler. While HP does play a role in the strength of her shield, neglecting other stats may result in diminishing returns.

Underestimating Kirara's Elemental Burst is a common mistake that players make. This powerful ability can deal massive damage to enemies and should not be overlooked. With the right build focusing on Elemental Mastery and Energy Recharge, Kirara can frequently unleash her devastating Elemental Burst, ensuring maximum damage output for the team.

Kirara's Elemental Burst can also act as a valuable source of additional Dendro damage and application, alongside her unique Elemental Skill which constitutes the majority of her kit, including her passive abilities and constellations. Despite its low energy cost and relatively short cooldown, her Elemental Burst boasts high multipliers, reaching over 1000% at Talent Level 10. As a result, Kirara can be a suitable option as a burst support character, capable of delivering impactful bursts of damage.

Kirara's kit is designed to primarily focus on shielding and burst support. However, with her 4th constellation, she can also enable Dendro coordinated attacks, especially when a shielded character performs a normal, charged, or plunging attack. This highlights the significance of Elemental Mastery in her build. In addition, Kirara can provide battery support to the team by generating Energy Particles or enhancing their Energy Recharge stats, depending on the weapon she uses.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version currently in development.
