A keen Genshin Impact fan has discovered an intriguing detail about the game's newest character, Kirara, a four-star unit and the latest addition to the Dendro element. Despite only being introduced a few months ago, the number of Dendro users in the game now exceeds the number of characters who utilize a Geo Vision, with Kirara being the most recent addition. Fans have until June 14 to acquire this unique character, as her banner is set to expire in two weeks.
Kirara, the Dendro character in Genshin Impact, has been confirmed as a Youkai, a mythical creature in Japanese culture recognized for its two tails, according to HoYoverse's official announcement. However, a Reddit user named Feed_or_Feed has pointed out an interesting detail about Kirara's tails that many players might have missed. The tails are shaped like a hexagon, which is unusual since most tails in Genshin Impact and other games are generally round. While some fans believe that this is due to the low poly tail model to keep the game's performance intact, especially for mobile players, others argue that high-quality textures should be featured when playing on devices such as PC or PS5. Despite this, Kirara remains one of the most exciting four-star units in Genshin Impact, boasting her unique Elemental Skill, Meow-teor Kick, which allows her to curl up into a delivery box, granting additional movement speed and the ability to climb up walls much easier, while also dealing damage to all enemies in her path.
Kirara is an ideal character for exploration, fitting well with her affiliation to the popular delivery company, Komaniya Express, in the Inazuma region. Her Elemental Burst, Surprise Dispatch, allows her to deploy a unique delivery package that inflicts AoE Dendro damage. Upon detonation, it splits into numerous Dendro mines that explode upon an enemy's approach.
While Kirara may not be a crucial member for most Dendro teams, she can prove to be a valuable addition, especially for novice players who may struggle with stamina issues while traversing the expansive world of Teyvat. Currently featured in the same banner as Yoimiya and Yae Miko, two five-star characters, Kirara is definitely worth considering for those looking to enhance their exploration capabilities.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
