Kirara debuts in Genshin Impact as a Dendro vision sword user hailing from the Inazuma region. As the first Dendro character from this region, she brings a unique set of skills to the table. With her charming personality and striking appearance, this 4-star character is a great addition to any team.
One of Kirara's most notable abilities is her Elemental Skill, which transforms her into a different state when held. This grants her increased movement and climbing abilities, making her an ideal companion for exploration. However, her abilities do not stop there. Kirara can also generate powerful shields that scale with her HP, making her a valuable Dendro enabler and Burst-Support character in Genshin Impact.
While there are limited options for weapons that scale with HP, Kirara can still effectively utilize those that provide additional Elemental Mastery or Energy Recharge to optimize her potential. One such weapon is the Favonius Sword.
Primary Stat:
454 Base ATK
Secondary Stat:
61.3% Energy Recharge
The Favonius Sword is a great choice for players who need an Energy battery in their team and wish to use Kirara for an additional function. As the sword has been available since the game's launch, many players may already possess multiple copies of it, making it more consistent in producing Energy particles. However, it's essential to note that to effectively use the Favonius Sword, players must prioritize building Crit Rate on Kirara, along with her primary stat needs of HP and Elemental Mastery. Luckily, Kirara's Elemental Burst has high modifiers that benefit from the increased Crit Rate, boosting her burst-support DPS. The R5 Effect of the sword ensures that CRIT hits generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will restore 6 Energy for the character. Nonetheless, this can only occur once every 6s.
Primary Stat:
565 Base ATK
Secondary Stat:
The Sapwood Blade is an excellent choice for those looking to maximize Kirara's Elemental Burst uptime and provide additional Elemental Mastery support to the team. This weapon is entirely F2P and can be forged as part of the Sumeru Forgeable Weapons set, making it easy to max refine. Although Iron Sting can be a viable option for players who have not progressed far enough in the story and exploration, the Sapwood Blade outperforms it for Kirara's support-focused playstyle. However, the Elemental Mastery secondary stat of the Iron Sting can still benefit the team when Kirara enables Dendro elemental reactions. Additionally, the R5 effect of the weapon triggers the creation of a Leaf of Consciousness around the character for a maximum of 10s after triggering Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon. When picked up, the Leaf grants the character 120 Elemental Mastery for 12s. Only 1 Leaf can be generated this way every 20s, and the effect can still be triggered if the character is not on the field. The Leaf of Consciousness' effect cannot stack.
3Xiphos' Moonlight
Primary Stat:
510 Base ATK
:
The R5 effect of this secondary stat is quite impressive with its trigger every 10 seconds. The character equipping the stat gains 0.072% Energy Recharge for each point of Elemental Mastery they possess for 12 seconds. Additionally, nearby party members will also benefit from this buff, receiving 30% of the same for the same duration. What's more, this effect can stack if multiple instances of the weapon are equipped. Even if the character is not on the field, this effect will still trigger.
Xiphos' Moonlight is a superb 4-star option for Kirara, albeit somewhat more challenging to obtain compared to other swords. This weapon not only boosts Kirara's Elemental Mastery but also increases her and her team's energy recharge, making her an adaptable support character with a battery function. Unlike the Favonious Sword, Xiphos' Moonlight doesn't require Kirara to rely on an additional stat like Crit Rate, instead focusing entirely on Elemental Mastery and HP, making her easier to build.
608 Base ATK
Secondary Stat:
198 Elemental Mastery
Effect:
The Freedom Sword is a crucial component of the "Millennial Movement," providing a 10% increase in DMG. When triggering Elemental Reactions, the character holding this weapon gains a Sigil of Rebellion once every 0.5s, even when off the field. Upon obtaining two Sigils, nearby party members receive the "Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance" buff for 12s, increasing Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG by 16% and ATK by 20%. However, the Sigil of Rebellion will not be gained for 20s after this effect is triggered, and buffs of the same type will not stack. The Freedom Sword is an excellent choice for support characters seeking to enhance Elemental Reactions and overall DPS output, particularly in team compositions where increased Normal, Charged, and Plunging damage is beneficial.
Primary Stat:
542 Base ATK
Secondary Stat:
66.2% HP
