Hilary Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, shared his funny experience getting a vasectomy and now highly recommends it.
Koma, 36, excitedly announced, "It’s vasectomy day!!!!!!" as he posted a selfie in a car on his Instagram Story on Monday, March 11. This was the start of a series of photos documenting his journey through the procedure.
He also shared a photo of his outfit before the surgery. He wore a red Budweiser shirt, a matching trucker hat, high-waisted shorts, white slide shoes, and black shades. He humorously captioned the post as, "Vasectomy fit check."
When Koma arrived for his procedure, he posted videos of famous celebrities who had supposedly also undergone vasectomies at the same location. Among them were the Beatles, Muhammad Ali, and the Three Stooges. Jokingly, he mentioned that the Three Stooges had their surgery in the same chair as him, adding, "They died after."
The doctor appeared to be examining Koma in the next clip. Koma asked, "Have you ever worked on anything this small before?" The doctor answered, "No, it's actually not small."
After what seemed to be the surgery, Koma posted a selfie of himself in a hospital gown and hair net. He wrote, "It's honestly not bad at all." Koma also mentioned that it's definitely a "better" experience than visiting the dentist.

He shared a mirror selfie with bandages on, giving a thumbs up and writing, “10/10 would recommend.” In another photo, Duff, 36, was seen driving him home and he captioned it as “Hot nurse.”
He also mentioned, “Also very high and I’ve never taken a drug in my life. This is cool.”
Koma and Duff are parents to daughters Banks, 5, and Mae, 2. They shared the exciting news in December 2023 that they are expecting their third child together, making it Duff’s fourth child in total. (The How I Met Your Father alum is also a mom to son Luca, 11, whom she shares with ex-husband Mike Comrie.)
Duff took to Instagram to share the surprise announcement along with the family’s holiday card, where she proudly displayed her baby bump. The card not only showed the growing family, but also featured individual photos of each of the three kids. The message on the card read, “Buckle up Buttercups, we’re adding one more to this crazy bunch!”

The couple first crossed paths in 2015 while working together on Duff's album Breathe In. Breathe Out. They tied the knot in December 2019 and their bond has only deepened since then.
According to a source who spoke exclusively to We in December 2023, the couple used the downtime caused by the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes earlier that year to further nurture and strengthen their relationship.
The insider explains that both of them had fewer work commitments and were able to reconnect. They got to know each other all over again and spent a lot of time together as a family.
After getting engaged in May 2019, Duff expressed her happiness and love for her partner exclusively to Us. She mentioned feeling happier and more in love than ever, looking forward to a long future together. Duff was pleasantly surprised by the engagement and eagerly said yes, emphasizing that her partner is her favorite person in the world after her kids.
