Discover the power of Zora weaponry in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Unleash the Water Warrior trait with the devastating Zora Spear Learn where and how to find this incredible weapon through quest rewards, specific chest locations, and enemy drops

The weapons unique to the Zorana Region in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom stand out due to their variety, including Zora Swords, Zora Longswords, Zora Shields, and Zora Spears. What sets these weapons apart is their shared Trait Water Warrior, which doubles their attack power when Link is wet. To obtain the highly coveted Lightscale Trident, players must first acquire a Zora Spear, which can prove to be a challenge as they are sometimes harder to come by than Diamonds. To help players out, let's take a closer look at where to find Zora Spears.

How Regional Weapons Work

The Tears of the Kingdom game features Regional Weapons, which are specialty weapons or shields specific to each region on the map. These weapons are often correlated with the race of the region, like the Gerudo Scimitars and Shields in the Gerudo Desert and the Zora Spears in the Lanayru area. It's important to note that Link can typically only find these weapons in their respective regions, so players shouldn't waste time searching for Zora Spears outside of Lanayru or its Depths.

Quest Reward(s)

To procure Zora Spears in TotK, players have three options at their disposal. They can earn them as rewards by completing Quests, discover them in specific Chests, or acquire them by defeating monsters. Each method has its own unique benefits and drawbacks, and it's important for players to understand each one thoroughly to ensure they have a steady supply of Zora Spears at all times.

As far as the most expert Zelda players can seem to find, there's only one Side Quest that gives a Zora Spear as a reward called 'Mired in Muck'.

To access the Side Quest, players need to make their way to the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower. Upon arrival, they will encounter a blockage at the entrance, which can be cleared to unlock the tower. Additionally, a Zora named Bazz can be found near the tower, partially submerged in muck. By using an Opal-fused weapon, Splash Fruit, or Chu Chu Jelly (any item that produces water), players can wash away the muck and free Bazz. In gratitude, he will gift Link with a Zora Spear as a token of appreciation.

There are a limited number of Chests that contain only a Zora Spear, as opposed to offering multiple options like the Like Like Chests. It is recommended to use the Spears sparingly. The first Chest can be found buried in the ground near the smaller pond just southwest of Ralis Pond. Unlike other Chests, this one is easily visible to players without any additional effort. The second Chest can be found on a patch of land between the Ulria Grotto East Cave entrances, marked by the ruins of a home. The Chest is partially sticking out of the dirt and can be retrieved using the Ultrahand to obtain the Zora Spear inside.

That's not all of the Zora Spears that can be found in Chests, but these are the Chests that are guaranteed to have a Spear inside 100 percent of the time.

One effective way to acquire Zora Spears is by either farming specific enemy locations or engaging in battles against enemies in the Lanayru region with the hope of getting lucky. While Lizalfos may occasionally possess Zora Spears as weapons, Ice Likes found in Caves have been known to drop Chests containing Spears. Some easily accessible areas where Ice Likes can be found include:

The Chests dropped by Like Likes in the Ancient Zora Waterworks, Upland Zorana, Byroad, and Tabahl Woods Cave contain a variety of potential items, including Zora Spears and other Zora Weapons, as well as Lizal Shields. If the Chests do not contain the desired item, players can either wait for the next Blood Moon to kill the Like Likes again or save before killing them and reload if necessary.

Expert players who have exhausted all other methods can also find Zora Spears in the depths. The statues of Ancient Zora and Spirits of Soldiers found on tall piles of smooth stones may hold one. Even without the Lightscale Trident, Zora Spears fused with strong material are valuable weapons that should be in any expert player's inventory.
