Discovering the Turakawak Shrine: A WalkthroughThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is teeming with optional content for players to explore. From completing side quests to finding Korok Seeds, there are over 150 shrines for players to discover. These shrines, essentially mini-dungeons, challenge players to put their abilities to the test.
Each shrine in Tears of the Kingdom presents a unique challenge that requires players to use their problem-solving skills. What's great about these shrines is that there's no one right way to complete them. Players can get creative and come up with their own solutions, adding to the game's replay value. Not only are the challenges fun, but completing a shrine also rewards players with increased health and stamina, making the effort well worth it. However, finding and accessing some shrines can prove to be just as challenging as completing them, as is the case with the Turakawak Shrine.
The Turakawak Shrine can be found in the Gerudo Highlands at coordinates -3497, -0197, 0066. The shrine is nestled amidst thorny brambles, making it challenging to reach. However, one can create an updraft by tossing a Hylian Pine Cone into a campfire and gliding over the brambles for an easier approach. Once you reach the shrine, activate it to unlock a new fast travel point before exploring the interior.
Turakawak Shrine Walkthrough
Upon entering the shrine, ascend the stairs leading to a large metal box directly in front of you. Utilize your Ultrahand ability to attach the box to the wall, allowing you to climb up to the next floor. Then, locate a nearby block and position it beneath the ladder. Retrieve another block from the floor below and place it on top of the first block to reach the ladder and climb up.
To reach the altar on the third floor, you'll need to climb up the ladder and use the blocks. But before you do that, head back to the beginning of the shrine and look up at the ceiling. You'll see a series of sixteen small squares, as shown in the image above. Use Ascend to pass through the ceiling and open the chest to obtain a Magic Rod. Once you have it, use Ascend again to exit the cage where the chest is located.
Players have the option to obtain this chest right at the beginning of the shrine or towards the end. Once acquired, they can proceed to use the Ultrahand to transport the two blocks from the second floor to the third floor. All three blocks are necessary to reach the altar and players should start by placing the unclimbable block first before stacking the other block on top with the help of Ultrahand.
To make it easier for players to access the altar, place the third block on top of the second block with only half of it overlapping. This will enable players to use the Ascend ability to reach the top of the block and seamlessly walk towards the altar.
