The Spurned Progeny battle consists of two phases, with the second phase beginning earlier than usual for other bosses. When the boss's health drops to around 80%, it will spew enough lava to cover the entire main floor of the arena. This forces players to fight on the battlements. However, reaching this point can be challenging, as the Spurned Progeny has the potential to defeat players with a single attack in most cases.

In the first phase, players are advised not to lock onto the boss. This allows them to focus more on anticipating the Spurned Progeny's incoming attacks. Most of its moves are easily identifiable, with the exception of the three-hit ground pound combo and the sit-down slam attack. Players should always remain vigilant for these two moves.

Do your best to avoid being struck by the Spurned Progeny to minimize the impact of its devastating attacks. These attacks are so powerful that they can instantly defeat anyone, regardless of their protective gear or resistance to damage. Fortunately, the Progeny's strongest attacks are slow and clearly telegraphed. Wait for the opportune moment to evade them, exercising patience.

During the second phase, the Spurned Progeny's actions become even more predictable. Remember to steer clear of its hammer-like strikes at all costs and familiarize yourself with the timing of its arm-mouth thrusts. Due to the limited window of opportunity, you will only be able to launch one or two attacks during this phase. Stay patient and continue to evade the Progeny's assaults.

To protect yourself from the boss's massive fireball, seek shelter behind the walls found along the paths that link the battlement platforms. After the fireball detonates, return to the usual fight. Remember to switch platforms only when the Spurned Progeny starts charging a fireball on the platform, as this attack will fill the floor with lava.

The boss in the second phase has a highly predictable but extremely dangerous moveset. A single failed dodge could lead to death, so it's vital not to enter the Umbral until the second phase begins. By doing this, players will have an extra life in case they are hit by a powerful attack. It's important to ensure that weapons are upgraded to avoid prolonging the fight.

When the Spurned Progeny's HP reaches 25%, it will perform the large fireball attack more frequently. However, once the ball explodes, the boss will kneel down and start choking violently, providing an opportunity for players to attack. At this point, the lava on the ground floor will have subsided. It is recommended to promptly descend after the explosion and deliver as many attacks as possible before retreating to the battlements.

Lords of the Fallen is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
