Any additional releases following the game's launch will come in the form of downloadable content (DLC), including new story missions or gear. It is important to note that creating new content for games like these might take some time before being released.

The developers at HexWorks have disclosed that the reboot of the action role-playing game Lords of the Fallen, which was released in 2014, may include additional content after its launch, depending on the players' preferences. Set in a dark fantasy world following the defeat of the oppressive deity Adry, Lords of the Fallen exudes a Souls-like atmosphere not only in its gameplay but also in its setting. With the unveiling of various game details since its official announcement at Gamescom 2022, anticipation for the game has grown significantly.

Aside from ensuring a smooth frame rate of 60fps on both Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, Lords of the Fallen will also feature cross-platform cooperative play. Despite its visually appealing graphics, the minimum PC requirements for enjoying Lords of the Fallen are quite lenient, allowing even players with lower-end setups to partake in the experience. In contrast to some other major releases in 2023, this upcoming action RPG will only need approximately 12 GB of RAM and will be compatible with regular hard drives.

Screenshots and gameplay footage of Lords of the Fallen that have been shared online have already generated significant interest in potential DLC for the game. During a recent interview with MP1st, Saul Gascon, the head of HexWorks, divulged that the studio has mapped out a minimum of six months of post-launch support, comprising of free updates and enhancements. As for more substantial post-release content for Lords of the Fallen, Gascon emphasizes that the decision will be contingent on the community's demand. "We have a few ideas in the pipeline," acknowledges the developer, however, whether or not these concepts materialize will ultimately rely on player interest.

Engage in Epic Battles Beyond the Launch: Lords of the Fallen's Exciting Post-Launch Content Awaits!

Lords of the Fallen, a single-player action RPG, won't receive regular content updates like live-service titles. Instead, post-launch releases will likely be in the form of DLC, such as new story missions or gear. However, it's important to note that similar to Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, the exact release dates of additional content for these types of games may be uncertain for a while.

When the original Lords of the Fallen was released in 2014, it gained recognition as a sleeper hit. Despite receiving mostly positive reviews, it didn't receive as much attention as the Dark Souls series, which served as its inspiration. The upcoming RPG, originally planned as a sequel called Lords of the Fallen: The Dark Crusade, eventually transformed into a reboot of the original game. Creative Director Cezar Virtosu has referred to it as "Dark Souls 4.5."

Lords of the Fallen launches in October 13, 2023, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
