Defeating the Hushed Saint in Lords of the Fallen can prove challenging due to its superior mobility. Keeping up with its horse through conventional methods is nearly impossible. However, players can cleverly exploit this advantage to make the most difficult aspect of the fight more manageable. Despite the tactics required to counter the Hushed Saint, this boss is by no means an easy opponent. While it may not be the toughest foe to face, it will still put players' reflexes and combat abilities to the test. Here's a guide on how to emerge victorious.

To make this boss fight easier, it is recommended for players to summon a friend or call the Iron Wayfarer for assistance. The Iron Wayfarer wields a powerful hammer that can effectively break the Hushed Saint's poise.

The battle commences with the Hushed Saint riding on his loyal steed. He will aggressively charge and maneuver around players, using his halberd as both a thrown weapon and a lance. To dismount the Hushed Saint from his steed, players should equip the Umbral Lamp and search for the floating ambient parasites in the arena. When the boss charges, players should position themselves and the boss between one of these parasites. Absorb the parasite's energy to trigger an explosion that will forcefully throw the boss to the ground.

The Hushed Saint engages in combat using both his shield and halberd when he is on the ground. While his attacks can be avoided and parried quite easily, there is a short period of time where he can be damaged. However, these opportunities to inflict damage are relatively brief. After a while, he will submerge himself and then reappear mounted on his horse. Knock him off his horse once more, and then repeat this process until he is defeated.

Once the boss reaches half of their health, they will adopt faster and more unpredictable attacking methods, greatly increasing their lethality. However, their reliance on horseback riding will diminish, requiring players to depend on their own skills to evade and counter.

It is highly recommended to equip a heavy weapon as the Hushed Saint's stability is easily compromised. Players using one-handed weapons should aim to frequently utilize heavy charged attacks, but only when it is safe to do so. If the Iron Wayfarer remains alive, they will assist in staggering the boss, providing an opportunity for a barrage of strikes. Ensure that weapons are upgraded prior to engaging in the battle.

Avoid initiating combat within the Umbral area. Doing so not only depletes one's health unnecessarily but also prevents players from reinvigorating themselves upon being defeated. It is far more advisable to utilize the Umbral Lamp in a conventional manner while located within the Axiom region to trigger the elimination of the parasites.
