In Tears of the Kingdom, completing quests can be just as enjoyable and gratifying as in its predecessor, Breath of the Wild. The game's action-adventure format presents players with a plethora of optional quests to undertake as they progress through the game. One such quest, Meat for Meat, takes place at the Bedrock Bistro and provides a fun diversion from the main storyline. To successfully complete this side quest, players must gather a specific cooking ingredient that proves to be a challenging task as it requires Link to venture into a cave filled with cava. This guide aims to assist players in completing the Meat for Meat quest in Tears of the Kingdom and satisfying the master chef's request.
How to Complete Meat for Meat in Tears of the Kingdom
Head to Bedrock Bistro
To take on the Meat for Meat challenge, players must make their way to the Bedrock Bistro restaurant, situated just north of the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower (coordinates 1756, 1548, 0278). The unmistakable sight of Gorons feasting at the tables will let players know they have arrived at the right spot.
At the location, Mezer and Cooke, the proprietor of the Bedrock Bistro, are engaged in a heated debate. Mezer, who has misplaced a valuable ingredient, Marbled Rock Roast, is requesting Link to procure a replacement.
Players can easily access the Marbled Rock Roast, which is found in the West Restaurant Cave. Luckily, the cave is conveniently located within walking distance of Bedrock Bistro. Alternatively, players can choose to ride a mine cart or follow the nearby mine rails leading northwest until they reach the cave.
Players will encounter an NPC taking a dip in a nearby pond as they approach the cave's entrance. The NPC will caution players about the cave's scorching temperatures and advise them to prepare themselves with heat-resistant gear or a fireproof elixir to avoid any harmful effects. This will ensure that Link is protected from the intense heat inside the cave.
Cross the Lava Pool and Collect the Marbled Rock Roast
Once inside the cave, players will be required to utilize the paraglider to soar across the scorching lava pool. The area is abundant with Marbled Rock Roasts, so players should grab at least one and make use of the Zonai Hydrant to create a path forward. Don't forget to keep an eye out for any potential hazards along the way.
Take the Marbled Rock Roast Back to the Restaurant
Players must then return the ingredient to Bedrock Bistro to successfully complete the Meat for Meat quest. As a reward for his efforts, Mezer will grant Link a Large Zonai Charge. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be enjoyed on the Nintendo Switch.
