Jiotak Shrine Location in TotK
Deep within Hyrule lies a newly discovered cave system that has emerged after the Upheaval in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. One exciting feature of this cave is the ability for players to navigate through a series of switching tracks in a mine cart, ultimately leading to the Jiotak Shrine.
In Tears of the Kingdom, the Jiotak Shrine is found in the Eldin region to the northwest of Death Mountain.
To reach the entrance of the Isle of Rabac Gallery, players must make their way to the cave located near the coordinates 1560, 3102, 0395, which is situated north of YunoboCo HQ. One way to get there quickly is to fast travel to the Marakugac Shrine in Goron City and head north. Upon reaching the two long railway tracks extending out into Eldin, players should ride the mine cart down the track on the right, which will lead them directly to the entrance of the Isle of Rabac Gallery.
Jiotak Shrine Walkthrough
To conquer the Jiotak Shrine, players must navigate through a labyrinthine cave system using a complex rail system. Furthermore, players must equip themselves with appropriate attire to withstand the scorching temperatures or stock up on Fireproof Elixirs to survive the trek. These elixirs can be concocted by combining a Fireproof Lizard or Smotherwing Butterfly with any available monster part. By incorporating more fireproof creatures, players can increase the duration of the elixir's effectiveness.
To efficiently navigate the cave, it's recommended that players start by affixing a fan to a mine cart in the vicinity. This will enable the cart to move along the designated track and provide a convenient mode of transportation for players. While other vehicles are available for use, starting with the mine cart and fan combo can save time and effort in the long run.
Once the rails have been traversed, a railway switch, as seen in the image above, will come into view. The cart will then automatically proceed to the right, forming a continuous loop until the switch is altered. This can be achieved through the use of an arrow, Yunobo's Power of Fire, or any object that can be thrown. Once the switch has been flipped to the left, proceed further into the cave.
As players enter the next room, they will find themselves caught in a never-ending cycle of battles against a horde of enemies. To make things even more challenging, some of these foes will be riding their own mine carts, ready to attack Link at any moment. So, be extra cautious as you search for the shrine.
Players have two options to reach the shrine located in the alcove at the back of the room. They can either use the rails to reach the destination or attempt to glide towards the ledge and climb up. If they choose to use the railway, they need to flip the switch located on the edge of the island positioned in the middle of the room. Usually, this switch is the first one that players encounter while traveling down the tracks. Once flipped, the mine cart will move towards the central island. Players can then clear out the monsters inhabiting the island and grab a ruby from the nearby chest.
Players should aim to hit another railway switch on a smaller island to the left of the shrine's alcove, directing the mine carts down its left track. This can be done while riding the mine cart in the same manner as before. After turning the mine cart around, ride the rail in the opposite direction from which they arrived at the island. If done correctly, Link's mine cart will follow the track up into the alcove containing the Jiotak Shrine.
Upon completion of the challenge, players will discover Rauru's Blessing and a chest containing a Magic Staff within the shrine. Moreover, by interacting with the statue located at the back, Link will receive a Light of Blessing, thus successfully finishing the shrine. The adventure-packed game, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, is now playable on Nintendo Switch.
