Targeting a single Survivor persistently as the Nurse is discouraged, as her teleportation skill can swiftly incapacitate the injured Survivor once again.
In the realm of online gaming, a common phenomenon is the development of unspoken guidelines that the community tends to adopt. These guidelines typically arise organically over time, and although they are not officially stated, experienced players come to recognize and adhere to them. Naturally, the larger the online community of a game, the greater the number of unwritten rules. Dead by Daylight, first released in 2016, has seen a continuous expansion of its online community over the past seven years, resulting in the emergence of numerous unspoken rules. Not only does Dead by Daylight have sets of unwritten rules for its Survivor and Killer teams as a whole, but it also has specific unwritten rules for individual Killers. Furthermore, the more powerful a Killer is, the more extensive the unspoken rules are. Given that the Nurse is one of the deadliest Killers in the entire game, it is only to be expected that she has her own set of unwritten rules.
Try Not to Use Any Overpowered Perks With Nurse
The importance of Perks in Dead by Daylight is evident, whether you're a newcomer or a seasoned player. Both Killers and Survivors rely on Perks to enhance their gameplay. Choosing the right Perks can be a time-consuming process, requiring extensive research and experimentation. However, when it comes to playing as the Nurse, it's crucial to avoid creating an excessively powerful build.
For those unfamiliar, the Nurse possesses the ability to swiftly move through obstacles such as walls, objects, windows, and pallets. This enables skilled Nurse players to bypass chases entirely and catch even the most alert Survivors off guard. Unfortunately, this ability also lends itself to a specific combination of Perks that can make the Nurse virtually unstoppable. When playing as the Nurse, it's important to exercise caution in selecting Perks that focus on aura-reading, slowing down the survivors, or instantly downing them. Equipping too many of these Perks simultaneously can result in a swift and frustrating match for all parties involved.
Be Careful of Using Toxic Add-Ons As Nurse
Following on from the previous rule, Nurse players should also exercise caution when utilizing the Nurse's highly potent add-ons, particularly if they have already equipped the aforementioned Perks. It is widely regarded within the Dead by Daylight community that any add-ons which enhance the Nurse's ability to blink over vast distances are generally frowned upon, as they grant her the ability to effectively guard every generator across the entire map. When paired with a Perk that significantly inhibits generator progress, these add-ons can prove to be a nightmarish ordeal for Survivors, albeit in the most vexing manner imaginable.
Don't Use the Nurse's Power to Tunnel
In Dead by Daylight, there's an unspoken rule that all Killers should avoid exclusively targeting a single Survivor, and this holds particularly true for the Nurse. Thanks to her teleportation ability, she can instantly appear next to a Survivor as soon as they're rescued, and her skill in ending chases quickly can lead to the injured Survivor being downed again in no time. Tunneling remains a controversial strategy in the Dead by Daylight community, and when it comes to characters like the Nurse, it's a tactic that is heavily frowned upon.
Dead by Daylight is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
