Sticky Frog LocationsWhere to Use Sticky Frogs?
Sticky Frogs, one of the frog types that Link can collect in Tears of the Kingdom, have a unique effect when cooked. Unlike the Hot-Footed Frog and Tireless Frog varieties, cooking a Sticky Frog will not result in a Hasty Elixir or Enduring Elixir. Instead, it will grant Link improved climbing ability during rainfall.
To find Sticky Frogs, players will need to explore the eastern region of Hyrule in Tears of the Kingdom. These frogs stand out with their blue color and orange legs, but they can be just as elusive as other critters. If players wish to gather them, they should consider enhancing Link's stealth skills.
Sticky Frog Locations
According to the information provided in the Hyrule Compendium entry for Sticky Frogs, they can be located in the West Necluda and Lanayru Great Spring areas. However, for better chances of finding them, players are advised to search at Kakariko Village, Outskirt Stable, and south of East Reservoir Lake. Sticky Frogs can be found at any time and are not affected by weather conditions.
Before embarking on a farming expedition, it is recommended for players to ensure they have Sneaky Elixirs or armor that enhances stealth, such as the Stealth Set from Kakariko Village. Sticky Frogs live up to their name by clinging to walls, often on the sides of cliffs and out of reach. To avoid exhaustion while climbing, players may consider having multiple stamina wheels available for Link.
Players also have the option to shoot arrows at the Sticky Frogs and retrieve them once they fall to the ground. Additionally, it is advisable for players to register the Sticky Frog in both the Hyrule Compendium and the Sensor+. These features become accessible after obtaining the Camera and the Auto-Build Ability, and assisting Robbie at the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. Once the Sticky Frog is registered in the compendium, it can be easily located on the map screen by pressing the Y-button.
Kakariko Village
The most optimal spot for farming Sticky Frogs is Kakariko Village. You can find them on the slopes of the Kakariko Village East Road (coordinates: 1953, -1115, 0132).
Alternatively, you can also find Sticky Frog spawns on the mountains located behind the general store in Kakariko Village. To locate them, refer to the corresponding coordinates (or the yellow cooking pot stickers depicted in the image above).

Outskirt Stable Well
Venturing westward, players may chance upon the Outskirt Stable, one of the many Stables dotting the Tears of the Kingdom. Within each of these Stables lies a well waiting to be explored by Link. In the case of the Outskirt Stable Well (-1429, -1293, 0012), a trio of Sticky Frogs have made it their habitat. These amphibians may not adhere to walls, so it is advisable to tread cautiously (crouching if necessary) or eliminate them through precise shooting.
Keep in mind that shooting one with an arrow will cause the others to start fleeing.
Lanayru Great Spring
In the Lanayru Great Spring area, players can locate Sticky Frogs. One of the Sticky Frogs can be found near the waterfall (south) at coordinates 3329, -0305, 0022 by the East Reservoir Lake. However, farming Sticky Frogs in this area can be challenging due to the presence of nearby monsters. If a monster creates excessive noise, the frog will hop away.
Where to Use Sticky Frogs?
Sticky Frogs can be used to create a Sticky Elixir by combining them with a Monster Part. This elixir grants slip-resistance to Link while climbing wet or icy surfaces. Although Sticky Elixirs can also be made from Sticky Lizards, Sticky Frogs provide stronger effects.
Alternatively, players can save Sticky Frogs for armor upgrades. To level up the Froggy Set to level 3, players will need five Sticky Frogs for each piece of the set. While the Set Bonus is granted at level 2, players aiming to maximize all their armor may want to set aside some Sticky Frogs specifically for upgrading the Froggy Set.
