Since its introduction in the Johto region, Lugia, with its Psychic and Flying-type abilities, has garnered a massive following and is regarded as one of the most beloved Legendary Pokemon in the entire series. As a testament to its popularity, fans have paid homage to Lugia in various forms. One such tribute is the delightful cuddly rendition crafted by the talented artist.

Although there have been previous crocheted Pokemon plushies, Lugia's intricate design presented some unique obstacles. By employing white and several shades of blue yarn, itsagiraffeee utilized felt to fashion Lugia's eyes and securely affixed them to the yarn using hot glue. Additionally, itsagiraffeee mentioned that they crafted the Lugia plush as a heartfelt birthday gift for their sister-in-law's twelfth birthday.
