Bailu is a valuable addition to any Honkai: Star Rail team as the only 5-Star Healer among the starting cast. Her abilities allow her to single-handedly keep her team alive even during the toughest of battles. In challenging content where players must split their teams, Bailu's healing prowess is indispensable.
As a Support character, Bailu can be used in any team slot and still be effective. While she doesn't have many unique interactions with the existing cast, there are a few notable pairings that players should consider. Here are three excellent partners to pair with Bailu and some advice on when and where to use her.
Players can take Bailu anywhere and still find success as every part of her kit is dedicated to restoring HP. Her E4 bonus gives her the ability to buff the ATK of allies she heals, making her a valuable addition to any team. Bailu is the only Abundance character that can overheal and revive fallen teammates, which makes her especially useful to Destruction characters or anyone else who scales off of Max HP. Based on her abilities, Bailu works well with characters who need healing support.
Bailu's unique ability to grant the Invigoration effect on allies, which provides sustained healing whenever they take damage, makes her a valuable addition to any team composition. Her healing synergizes particularly well with Fire Trailblazer's taunt ability and Clara's bonus DMG Reduction from her Ultimate. Additionally, Bailu's group healing makes her a strong choice for tankless hypercarry comps. When considering which healer to use, Bailu should be chosen over others when sustained healing and damage reduction are a priority.
Apart from her AOE healing, Bailu's value lies in her Invigoration, revive, and overhealing capabilities. She excels in the Simulated Universe when empowered by the blessings of Abundance, as many of its perks enhance the efficiency of her kit.
It's worth noting that Bailu lacks utility until she reaches E4, meaning she may not be the best choice for every situation. Natasha can cleanse debuffs, and Luocha (currently unavailable) deals massive Break damage in an area. However, Bailu's persistent healing effects allow her to focus on generating SP while keeping her team healthy.
Honkai: Star Rail is available now on PC and mobile devices. A PlayStation version is in the works.
