The latest Honkai: Star Rail trailer has brought Silver Wolf into the spotlight and made a reference to Honkai Impact 3rd. Despite sharing "Honkai" in their names, it has been established that Star Rail is not a direct sequel to its predecessor but exists in the same universe as Genshin Impact. While both titles feature sci-fi elements, they differ in gameplay, with Star Rail being a turn-based RPG and Impact 3rd being an action game with slasher mechanics. Additionally, the two games have distinct storylines. However, the games share characters, such as Seele and Bronya, who have counterparts in the HoYoverse multiverse.
The upcoming five-star banner character, Silver Wolf, has a counterpart in Honkai Impact 3rd named Bronie, a character that players may not be aware of. In the latest Honkai: Star Rail character trailer titled "Got a Date?," Silver Wolf was featured playing as Bronie in Honkai Impact 3rd until Kafka's text messages interrupted her gameplay. Despite the disturbance, she was able to exhibit her impressive skills while battling the Antimatter Legion outside of her gaming room.
Bronie is an alternate version of Bronya Zaychik in Honkai Impact 3rd, who is well-known for wearing a Haxxor Bunny battlesuit. Her appearance, including her silver hair and edgy outfit, are reminiscent of Silver Wolf in Honkai: Star Rail. Both characters are also capable of materializing drones out of thin air. Fans of the game have also noticed an easter egg in Silver Wolf's trailer and have expressed their eagerness to pull for her in Version 1.1.
Players of the HoYoverse multiverse can enjoy different versions of their favorite characters across various games. And the good news is, you don't have to be familiar with Honkai Impact 3rd or Genshin Impact to dive into the standalone story of Honkai: Star Rail. This title offers a compelling experience that even newcomers can easily digest.
With the release of Silver Wolf's trailer, fans are left wondering if other characters from Honkai Impact 3rd will make an appearance in Honkai: Star Rail. While there has been no confirmation from HoYoverse, leaked information about new Star Rail characters has players eagerly anticipating what's to come.
Honkai: Star Rail is available now for PC and mobile devices. PS4 and PS5 versions are in development.
