Marvel stars came together to celebrate Chris Evans' birthday, who portrayed the iconic role of Steve Rogers in Captain America: The First Avenger and continued to inspire as the moral hero for almost a decade until his retirement from the role in Avengers: Endgame. Despite bidding farewell to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actor is still cherished by his former co-stars as evidenced by their heartwarming birthday wishes on social media. Among them is Chris Hemsworth, who affectionately refers to Evans as "my favorite Chris." Take a look at their heartwarming posts below:
Will Chris Evans Return To The MCU In Phase 5 or 6?
Although Reynolds and Evans were not able to work together in the Marvel Cinematic Universe due to the timing of their respective roles, they did collaborate on the film Free Guy directed by Shawn Levy. Evans did, however, have the opportunity to work closely with the other actors during his time as Captain America.
The internet has been buzzing with rumors about Chris Evans potentially returning to the MCU as Steve Rogers. However, despite all the speculation, there's no solid evidence to suggest that this is actually happening as part of the Multiverse Saga. Both Kevin Feige and the actor himself have refuted the rumors in the past. Nevertheless, with the multiverse concept now in play and Steve Rogers' fate left open-ended in Avengers: Endgame, fans are still hopeful that he might make a surprise appearance in some capacity.
Rogers' departure from the MCU after passing on the Captain America mantle to Sam Wilson left many questions unanswered, particularly regarding his final time-traveling mission. Marvel Studios bringing him back would provide an opportunity to clarify these lingering queries. However, with the Multiverse Saga unfolding, it may be best to delay Chris Evans' return until after Phase 6 to maintain focus on the existing characters. Regardless, if Kevin Feige decides to bring back Steve Rogers, there will always be a way to do so.
