Mark Consuelos Says His Crotch Set Off Airport Security Machine

Mark Consuelos revealed on a recent episode of Live With Kelly and Mark that his go-to pair of jeans always causes him problems at the airport security.

The Riverdale actor, who is 53 years old, explained that the front area of his pants is often the reason why he keeps setting off the security machines.

Consuelos shared that he travels with a pair of jeans that he really likes. They are super comfy, soft, and not too tight, making them a great choice for him. However, there's a funny twist - every time he goes through the metal detector, it sets off the alarm!

He mentioned that despite his jeans not having any extra zippers or rivets that could trigger the detector, he still ends up getting frisked. It seems like his favorite pair of jeans just can't catch a break at security checkpoints.

Consuelos shared an amusing encounter with a TSA agent during one of his travels. He described the agent as a big, burly guy who jokingly mentioned, "I've got to pat you down, man." The agent even offered him a private room for the pat-down if he preferred.

During his most recent trip back from California, Consuelos was randomly selected for a security check. He went through the process once, only to be stopped and checked again. The agent had to put on a glove for the pat-down, leading Consuelos to humorously comment, "What are we doing? This is just second base, no? We're just doing second base!"

During a June 2019 episode of Live, Consuelos and his cohost and wife Kelly Ripa shared a funny yet intimate moment. Ripa mentioned that their daughter, Lola, accidentally walked in on them having sex on her 18th birthday. Lola even made eye contact with them during the incident.

Ripa recalled Lola's reaction to the situation, where she jokingly said, “Thanks for ruining my birthday. And thanks for ruining my life. I used to see in color, and now everything is gray!” Consuelos added that their daughter found them "disgusting" and told them they needed to "chill".

Ripa, who has been married to Consuelos since 1996, revealed during a September 2022 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that they had gotten intimate in various places, such as a public bathroom, a boat, and even on the set of All My Children where they first met in the 1990s. When asked by Andy Cohen if they had also been intimate in his house, Ripa confirmed that it had happened in his vacation home in Fire Island, New York.

“That was just a day trip!” the Bravo producer, 55, exclaimed. Ripa joked that she didn't mind being intimate in the house because it was a rental property. “I thought it was fine since I wasn't disrespecting anything you own,” she playfully remarked.
