Kelly Ripa is concerned about her husband, Mark Consuelos, having to eulogize her at her future funeral. She expressed her worry on the January 12 episode of their talk show Live With Kelly and Mark, mentioning that the menu would consist of all her least favorite things, including deviled eggs, chicken wings, and glasses of milk.
Consuelos, 52, jokingly warned his spouse not to tease his funeral plans. "Hey, careful, I'll have to dress you too," he said with a smile. "Better be nice or I'll put you in something wild!"
Ripa wasn't fazed by Consuelos' playful threats, as she already has her burial outfit planned.
"It's a timeless Dolce & Gabbana black dress that has been in my wardrobe for a decade. This elegant, stunning, and adorable piece still hangs in my closet with its own label."

The talk show host previously explained her decision to pick out her own funeral dress during a March 2016 episode of Live.
The thought of what I wanted to be buried in came to mind when I fainted after having my first child," she said, referring to son Michael. "I fainted and my husband called 911 - and I was naked when I fainted. And at that time [before the paramedics arrived], he dressed me. As they were putting me on a stretcher, I remember pulling the sheet over my head because I didn't want people to see me dressed this way."
Ripa jokingly remarked that she would have "rather [been] dead right now" than have the public see her in the outfit that Consuelos chose for her, which happened to be a pair of his sweatpants worn over a green leotard and completed with a pair of "red pumps."
"I’m dead serious, and when they brought me into the emergency room … the nurses concluded I must have been unconscious at some point because of the way that I was dressed," she added. "And that made me a priority [in the E.R.] and why I chose my funeral clothes."

Ripa and Consuelos first crossed paths on the set of All My Children in 1995, where they portrayed love interests. Just one year later, they eloped and went on to have three children: Michael, 26, Lola, 22, and Joaquin, 20.
After two decades of marriage, news broke in February 2023 that Consuelos would join Ripa as the cohost of Live. Ripa, meanwhile, has anchored the morning show since 2001.
