Mario Lopez Ridicules Tristan Thompson's Nonchalant Attitude Towards Cheating

Mario Lopez is joining in on the playful teasing of Tristan Thompson's widely-known comments regarding his previous affairs.
In a sneak peek for the upcoming episode of The Kardashians, Thompson, 32, is seen having a conversation with Khloé Kardashian's family members about his past unfaithfulness. "Whenever I cheat, I feel absolutely awful the following day," he confesses to Kourtney Kardashian in the promo clip. Kourtney then questions him, saying, "Well, if that's the case, why do you repeat the same behavior?"
The phrase has become a viral joke and Lopez, who is 50 years old, used X (formerly Twitter) to publicly criticize Thompson’s choice of words. “‘When I cheat.’ My man saying it as if it happens every week. Hahaha,” the host of Extra posted on Friday, November 10, accompanied by a picture of Thompson’s comment.
Many fans online shared Lopez’s viewpoint, with one fan reprimanding Thompson for “treating ‘when I cheat’ like it’s a normal thing.” Another X user responded, “Just don’t cheat? .” (Lopez, on his end, acknowledged cheating on his former wife Ali Landry before their wedding in 2004. He has been married to Courtney Lopez since 2012.)
In the promo for the Thursday, November 16 episode, Khloé, aged 39, informs her former partner that their actions have a ripple effect on the whole family. They share a daughter named True, who is 5 years old, and a son named Tatum, who is 15 months old.
Thompson admits that he has reached a point where he can take responsibility for the mistakes he has made. He proceeds to apologize to Kylie Jenner for cheating on Khloé with Jordyn Woods, who was then Kylie's best friend and the CEO of Kylie Cosmetics, in February 2019. Thompson acknowledges that everyone was affected differently, but he believes that Kylie was impacted the most. In the teaser, Thompson expresses his remorse to a tearful Jenner, aged 26.

Thompson and Khloé, who started their relationship in 2016, initially remained together after he cheated on her with multiple women shortly before the birth of their daughter True in 2018. However, they eventually broke up in 2019 after Thompson and Woods, aged 26, shared a kiss.
This scandal greatly affected the friendship between Jenner and Woods. "I'm not pleased that people were hurt and had to go through what they did," Woods revealed during a September 2020 interview with Natalie Manuel Lee. "It was a difficult time for everyone involved, including my family, other families, friends. I never had any negative intentions towards anyone I care about."
The friends validated their reconciliation by going out for dinner together in Los Angeles in July. According to a source, it was Kylie who initiated contact with Jordyn, expressing that she missed her and believed enough time had elapsed for them to meet up. Another insider mentioned that their relationship is still being repaired and they are proceeding cautiously. In regard to Khloé and Thompson, they reignited their relationship in 2020 but permanently ended it the following year after reports surfaced of the athlete's infidelity and the birth of a child with Maralee Nichols.
