Mario Lopez Reveals Bold Style Evolution: From Sheer Tops to Hair Mishaps - Us Weekly Exclusive!

Mario Lopez opens up about his fashion journey, discussing his style hits and misses over the years on Us Weekly's 'Fashion Police' Discover the truth behind his daring sheer tops and cringe-worthy hair choices in this revealing interview

Mario Lopez recently revisited his fashion choices from the past in a stylish and nostalgic segment on We's Fashion Police. The renowned TV personality, accompanied by his spouse of a decade, Courtney Lopez, warmly welcomed Us into their exquisite Los Angeles residence for an exclusive look into his sartorial journey.

"I was a bit heavier in this picture," Mario, 49, commented on a photo of himself shirtless alongside David Charvet at a beach in San Diego in 1993. "You look so muscular," Courtney, 40, complimented her husband's well-toned physique. Mario then expressed his satisfaction with his thick and lustrous hair, stating, "It had volume and was very dense."

Moving on, Mario appreciated a photograph of himself at a Christmas party in 1993. "Very reminiscent of Ivy League style," Courtney remarked regarding the red sweater Mario wore over a white button-up shirt. "I proudly bought this sweater from the Gap," Mario exclaimed before mentioning what he considered to be the "most regrettable photoshoot I've ever done."

In a 1990 snapshot, Mario could be seen wearing a complete white ensemble, which featured an Adidas shirt. As he reminisced, he revealed that he must have been around 15 or 16 years old at the time and sported an unintentionally curly mullet hairstyle, which he jokingly described as a mean one. Mario attributed his hair inspiration to renowned actor Mel Gibson and other action stars of that era.

"They had slightly longer hair at the back and were able to tie it up in a ponytail. ... Those guys were incredibly cool, and I wanted my hair to be just like that," he told Us.

Later on, Mario was shown a picture of himself from the 2002 premiere of Scorpion King, where he was wearing a striped turtleneck and dark jeans. "This is the absolute worst I've ever looked," he remarked. "That was The Rock's debut film."

Mario brought up his hair, describing it as an unpleasant and regrettable choice influenced by someone he was dating. His wife responded with a humorous comment, saying it was fortunate he was no longer with that person because they made terrible decisions about his hair.

Moving on, Mario discussed an oversized outfit he wore in 1997 and a see-through top he wore while spending time with Seth Green the next year. Mario complimented the black mesh top, describing it as "dope," and his wife agreed, saying it was something he would wear even now.

Mario, when asked, confirmed his whereabouts by responding, "I was likely at the club, prepared and eager to make a significant contribution." Additionally, Mario shared details about his upcoming 50th birthday.

"It's a time for introspection, contemplating the journey that has led me to where I am now and anticipating what lies ahead," he expressed in his featured article. "My determination to continually push forward is what I cherish the most, especially considering my background as a former child actor. I am grateful for the ability to sustain consistent work."

Furthermore, he emphasized, "I never underestimate the opportunities I have been given. I appreciate the blessings I've received and aspire to continue excelling in my current pursuits, and even surpassing them."
