Kris Jenner demonstrated her unwavering support for Tristan Thompson, despite the timing being somewhat uncomfortable for the athlete. In a recent episode of The Kardashians, which premiered on Thursday, October 12th, Kris (67) commended her daughter Khloé Kardashian's ability to effectively coparent with Tristan (32).
"Khloe and Tristan have successfully established a harmonious routine. Tristan willingly takes on responsibilities such as chauffeuring the children and completing errands," she explained, mentioning their daughter True, aged 5, and son Tatum, who is 16 months old.
Kris applauded Tristan for his resilience amidst the public turmoil, expressing, "We are aware that Tristan has made errors in judgment. I believe he genuinely regrets the pain he caused Khloé, and I am confident he carries the weight of those mistakes daily."
She added with concern, "Khloé's priority should be raising those kids. I worry about the void that Tristan's departure might create."

Kris recently voiced her praise, following Kim Kardashian's previous statement where she referred to Tristan as a "truly wonderful person and friend" for his supportive actions.
Kim, 42, expressed her awareness that her statement may not be well received by some individuals, particularly men who might harbor negative feelings towards her and her family, including their perception of Khloé. During an episode of the Hulu series, Kim, who co-parents her children North, 10, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4, with Kanye West, emphasized the conflicting situation wherein Kanye remains a reliable friend and an attentive father, yet struggles in maintaining fidelity as a boyfriend.
However, not everyone shared the sentiment regarding Tristan's effectiveness as a father. Kai Craig, the sister of Tristan's ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig, accused him of being absent from the life of his firstborn son, Prince.
“It has been incredibly difficult to keep silent, and out of respect for my sister’s privacy, I have refrained from doing so for over 7 years. However, this situation has pushed me to my limits,” expressed Kai through her Instagram on October 5, seemingly in response to a recent episode of The Kardashians. “Witnessing how Tristan manages to allocate time for these kind gestures towards others, yet fails to prioritize being a genuine parent for my nephew Prince, is truly heart-wrenching.”
Kai raised concerns about Tristan's lack of effort towards his first child. She pointed out that despite being in the same city and being able to take other children to school and activities, Tristan rarely sees or communicates with his own son unless it's for a party or a planned photo opportunity. She believes that simply providing financial support is not enough to be a good father; it also requires spending quality time. Kai stated that Tristan cannot be considered a good father if he doesn't fulfill his responsibilities towards all of his children.
Tristan became a father in 2016 when Jordan gave birth to their son. After their breakup, Tristan started a relationship with Khloé, and they announced their pregnancy a year later. Their daughter was born in 2018.
Despite their on-and-off dating and numerous cheating scandals, Tristan and Khloé briefly rekindled their romance in 2021. However, news broke later that year about Maralee Nichols filing a lawsuit against Tristan for child support. In January 2022, Tristan admitted to being the father of Maralee's son, Theo, who is now 22 months old, after previously requesting genetic testing.
“I fully accept the consequences of my actions,” he posted on his Instagram Story, although he has remained silent about his current situation with Theo. “Now that the child's paternity has been confirmed, I am eager to co-parent our son in a respectful manner. I sincerely apologize to all those who have been affected or let down by my behavior during this challenging period, both publicly and privately.”

In July 2022, Tristan and Khloé welcomed a baby boy into their family through surrogacy, marking their second addition to the family. (They discovered this news prior to the public knowledge about Maralee's lawsuit.)
In Thursday's episode, Khloé expressed openness to the possibility of reconciling with Tristan in the future. She emphasized their great friendship and acknowledged that the future is uncertain. Khloé mentioned that if Tristan is meant to be her partner, then it will happen. However, she also emphasized the importance of not complicating her life further and striving for a seamless and positive co-parenting relationship.
