The series consists of 85 chapters, which were compiled into 18 volumes released between September 5, 2006, and February 5, 2014.

The Maid Sama! manga was released on a monthly basis in LaLa magazine, with new chapters published on the 24th of each month. The tankōbon volumes typically came out two or three months after the last chapter in the volume was released in the magazine. Over a period of seven years and nine months, a total of 85 chapters of the Maid Sama! manga were published. Initially, the English translation of the manga was released by Tokyopop, but the company went out of business in 2011, leaving the translation incomplete. However, Viz Media obtained the rights to publish the complete series in English in 2013. The English translation of the Maid Sama! manga can be read on Viz Media's website and other digital platforms, and physical volumes are also available at major retailers.
