As the crowdfunding project successfully reaches its target just in the nick of time, preparations for filming Chizuru's movie are now in full swing. While navigating their newfound roles as actor and producer, Kazuha finds himself progressively developing feelings for his former rental girlfriend, captivated by every glance she casts his way. Nevertheless, when in the presence of Chizuru, Kazuya transforms into a determined director, fully focused on ensuring the success of their venture in movie-making.

Despite their mutual agreement to move on from their rental relationship, the two individuals constantly find themselves in uncomfortable situations. This can mostly be attributed to Yaemori's determination to foster a genuine connection between Kazuya and Chizuru, although the chemistry between them may also play a role. Despite Yaemori's strong efforts, both Kazuya and Chizuru are resolute in maintaining a strictly professional relationship. Only time will reveal whether these efforts will lead to something meaningful or if they will ultimately prove futile.

The Movie Making Begins

Having successfully crowdfunded his project, Kazuya's next move was to fulfill his promise to Chizuru. In keeping his word, Kazuya took charge as the producer of the film, overseeing the production process from start to finish. His unwavering dedication and ardor for Chizuru's dreams became evident as he tirelessly worked to ensure a seamless and successful filming experience.

To maintain his focus on the project and suppress his personal emotions, Kazuya deliberately minimized his interactions with Chizuru throughout the entire filming process. Despite Chizuru's evident admiration for Kazuya's dedicated efforts in orchestrating the entire production, she couldn't help but notice his deliberate absence and avoidance. Unaware of the underlying emotions at play, she mistakenly believes that her actions may have driven Kazuya away – a misconception that couldn't be further from the truth.

As both individuals remain entangled in their own misguided assumptions, the enchantment of cinema carries on, fueled by the unwavering commitment of the crew members striving for the movie's triumph. Time quickly evaporates as the shooting persists day after day, with Kazuya ensuring a seamless operation not only for Chizuru but for all involved parties. Nevertheless, as they approach the final scene awaiting completion, Kazuya and Chizuru find themselves in solitude, tasked with wrapping up what they initiated.

A Surprise Trip

The filming process for the movie was quickly summarized in half an episode, creating the illusion of several weeks passing. Since the movie is a secondary plot, it makes sense for Rent-a-Girlfriend to focus mainly on Kazuya and Chizuru's turbulent relationship. With only one scene left to shoot for the film, which promises to be a captivating ending under the stars, the crew's work is almost complete.

As most of the crew members were borrowed from the college's Media Club, the students needed to concentrate on their own film project. They entrusted Kazuya with the responsibility of filming the final scene. This scene is set to be captured in Madarao, a picturesque hill station in the Nagano prefecture. As a result, Kazuya would have to travel alone with Chizuru for this last shot. With the film's deadline approaching, Kazuya is compelled to take on the final task and fulfill his role as the producer.

While Kazuya may have taken on the role of the movie's producer, he still has a long way to go before he can take charge of his own romantic life. Fully aware of the implications of a solo trip with Chizuru, Kazuya chose a safer approach by involving the other members of his harem. By going on a trip that includes Ruka and Yaemori, the tension between him and Chizuru would easily fade away. However, Yaemori had her own agenda as she devised a last-minute plan for her self-proclaimed master.

Yaemori’s Interventions

Introducing Mini Yaemori, Rent-a-Girlfriend's latest addition to the character roster, who plays a pivotal role in bringing Kazuya and Chizuru closer together. Continuously living up to her reputation, Yaemori once again sets her plans into motion, though this time with a touch of cunning. Taking charge of organizing the trip and extending an invitation to Ruka, Kazuya remains completely oblivious to the secret scheming that unfolded behind his back.

Instead of planning the trip for all four of them, Yaemori intentionally excludes Ruka and cancels her own arrival by pretending to have caught the flu. Just before getting on the train, Kazuya checks with Chizuru if she still wants to travel with him, knowing that she was aware of the person responsible for the miscommunication. To Kazuya's surprise, Chizuru agrees to go to Madarao despite being fully aware of the potential consequences.

Chizuru's willingness to go on a trip with Kazuya clearly shows her feelings, as she genuinely reciprocates his love. However, it is still unlikely that either of them will confess their feelings as they both appear to be testing the waters. Nevertheless, Yaemori's persistent persuasion may have sparked the idea in Chizuru and Kazuya's minds, bringing their eventual relationship closer to reality.
