During the preceding episode, Rentaro Aijo experienced a life-altering meeting with his third soulmate, Yoshimoto Shizuka, within the confines of the school library. Shizuka happened to be one of the esteemed members of the library committee. Besides her diminutive stature and introverted nature, Shizuka possessed a unique communication style.
She indicated the passages and expressions of her beloved book, urging Aijo to read them in order to facilitate their conversation. Afterwards, the main character inquired about potential romance novels to peruse, piquing the curiosity of the girl with blue hair who promptly presented him with a collection of twelve such books.

Unable to take all of them, Shizuka loaned Aijo her beloved book, Circlet Love Story. Aijo was so captivated by the book that he read the entire first volume in one night. The following day, he expressed his gratitude to Shizuka for lending him the book and was taken aback when he discovered that she had brought the second volume with her.
In order to show his appreciation to Shizuka, Aijo treated her to drinks and engaged in an enjoyable conversation about the book. Shizuka even remarked on how Aijo was different from others, as he did not reject her. This prompted Rentaro to request to borrow the first volume from Shizuka once again.

A few days later, the blue-haired girl notices Aijo with them at school and understands that he is already in a relationship. Shizuka assumes that the protagonist might not have any free time to spend with someone like her, whom she considers to be an outsider.
However, throughout this time, the protagonist dedicated himself to finding a concrete resolution for Shizuka's communication difficulty. Recognizing that she relied on pointing to words and phrases in her beloved book as a means of expression, Ajio painstakingly entered every individual word from the book into a text-to-speech application.
