Luke Bryan joked about how his "viral" mishaps actually boost his career, even after taking a tumble on stage during a recent performance.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight published on Monday, April 22, the 47-year-old American Idol judge shared a funny incident. He mentioned that ironically, he had been dealing with back troubles last week, to the extent that he had to call a chiropractor to his room due to his cycling activities. Bryan enjoys cycling around Los Angeles when he's in town. However, something went wrong, and when he fell on stage, his first thought was, "Oh no, all the work I did to make my back feel better is undone."
Bryan joked that "viral moments" could help promote his new single, "Love You, Miss You, Mean It." He mentioned wanting to make a bumper sticker for "I Bust My Ass and This Is My New Single."
During his performance at the Coast City Country Festival in Canada on Saturday, April 20, Bryan fell backwards on stage in front of a big crowd. In a video shared online, he humorously asked, "Hold up! Did anybody get that?"
Bryan checked himself for any injuries before throwing a phone to a fan in the crowd. “It’s OK. Hey, my lawyer will be calling,” Bryan teased.

Approaching another fan who recorded the mishap, he said, “You’re Snapchatting. You can’t Snapchat this s–t.”
Bryan was given another phone and held it up for the audience. He watched the footage of himself and jokingly said it could go "viral." He chuckled, "Alright, here we go again. There I am, there we go ... there it is!"
In an interview with ET, Bryan shared his thoughts on the theory that a stray phone caused his fall on stage. He dismissed the idea, saying, "Everybody is talking about the cellphone, but I was just playing that up. I don't think it was a cell phone. I think it was just slippery."
During Sunday's episode of Idol, Ryan Seacrest showed a replay of the incident. Luke Bryan described it as "good old-fashioned foolishness" and even called it the best moment of the night, saying, "I'm alright, baby!"
The following day, when speaking to TMZ, the country singer mentioned that whether it was a phone or a slippery stage, when he landed, the first thing he hit was a phone. He also shared that he didn't sustain any injuries because, as he put it, he has "a lot of meat back there."
