Love Is Blind's JP Pierce and Girlfriend Ellen Hense Celebrate Love in the Most Adorable Patriotic Outfits

Love Is Blind star Jared "JP" Pierce has unveiled his new girlfriend, Ellen Hense, by showcasing their synchronized ensembles in a series of photos posted on Instagram on Thursday, October 19. In the heartfelt caption, JP, 32, expressed his admiration for Ellen, describing her as the sweetest, most loving, caring, awesome, sexy, and fun individual he had the pleasure of meeting over a year ago.

In the initial photo, the firefighter and his girlfriend are both displaying joyful expressions at a party, wearing matching patriotic attire. JP chose a button-down shirt inspired by the flag, whereas Ellen sported a tank top with the word "USA" and a pair of denim shorts patterned with stars.

Throughout JP's appearance on Love Is Blind season 5, observant viewers quickly noticed his preference for wearing clothes in shades of red, white, and blue, or outfits that showcased the design of the American flag. This observation was also made by his fellow cast members.

During a recent episode of the "Viall Files" podcast, Izzy Zapata, a fellow star from season 5, mentioned that some people questioned why JP exclusively wore patriotic outfits. Zapata recalls never seeing him without something related to the American flag or red, white, and blue. It was evident that JP had a deep affection for America as he would often exclaim, "America, f—k yeah!"

In addition to the carousel of photos shared on Thursday, there were images of JP and Ellen snuggled up at a Houston Astros baseball game, enjoying a night out at a bowling alley, and dressed up for a romantic date, without their outfits being inspired by the United States.

Izzy, 32, was the first one to reveal that JP was dating again after his split from costar Taylor Rue.

"He's a genuinely great guy. I had the opportunity to spend some quality time with him alone. From what I know, he's been in a relationship for a year now, so it's clear that he's doing something right," Izzy mentioned during the podcast episode on October 5. "I believe that many men struggle to connect with their emotions or effectively express them, and I think that was simply the situation with him."

JP and Taylor from Love Is Blind season 5 formed a strong bond inside the pods and got engaged without having seen each other. However, their connection began to weaken once they finally met face-to-face. Taylor openly shared her realization during the reveal, but she refrained from overthinking it as they were both nervous. The couple planned to address this further during their trip to Mexico.

While on their trip to Mexico after getting engaged, JP caused a stir by voicing his disapproval of Taylor's excessive makeup. Taylor, feeling hurt and bewildered, shared, "I couldn't fathom the idea that our relationship was essentially falling apart due to my appearance."

Moreover, Taylor and JP faced difficulties in effectively expressing their emotions, ultimately resulting in Taylor calling off their engagement.

"I departed because the version of JP that had captured my heart was no longer present, and this caused fear within me," she revealed to Us. "I was meant to return home and build a life with this individual, yet in Mexico, I sensed a profound unfamiliarity with him. Hence, I deliberated extensively as conflicting emotions pulled me. One part of me yearned to remain, while another part declared, 'I am finished. I am returning home.'"
