Chelsea Blackwell and Jimmy Presnell are keeping the Love Is Blind drama alive even a week after the reunion episode aired on Netflix. In a recent interview on the “Stress Free SOULutions” podcast with Sarah Alysse, 31-year-old Chelsea shared a behind-the-scenes story involving 28-year-old Jimmy lying to her about his friends.

The night before Jimmy was supposed to meet Chelsea's parents, she suggested that he stay at his own place. Chelsea mentioned to Jimmy that she had plans to have a wine night with her friends and would be going back to her townhouse, which was conveniently located down the street. She thought it would be a good idea for them to have some alone time to themselves, which she believed was important for their relationship.

Later that night, Jimmy FaceTimed her while he was in bed, looking like he was about to sleep. The call ended, and two minutes later, Chelsea’s phone rang again.

“He accidentally called me, and I could hear all his friends in the background, both guys and girls, discussing their plans for the next bar,” she recalled. “I couldn't believe it when he had the audacity to call me and show me he was in bed.”

Chelsea was taken aback by what happened and felt unsure about how to react. She remembered feeling completely stunned and not knowing the best course of action. Chelsea wondered whether she should address the situation immediately or wait until the next day.

In the end, she chose to send him a text, asking, "Was it all worth it?"

Chelsea mentioned that if Jimmy had simply been truthful, she wouldn't have been thrilled that he decided to hang out with his friends instead of spending the evening with her, but it wouldn't have upset her so much. Podcast host Sarah pointed out that catching him in this lie, especially on a Tuesday, suggested that he likely does this frequently.

“Oh, I was seeing it every single day,” Chelsea claimed.

Chelsea added that Jimmy’s excuse was that he missed his friends, but that’s a sacrifice she had had to make as well.

She mentioned, "I think it's important for you to spend time with your friends and have your own nights without me, which is healthy. However, it felt a bit extreme to me. The show doesn't even cover that aspect."

For those who missed the season finale, Jimmy ultimately decided to call off the engagement just days before the wedding. Despite attempting to date off-camera after the season wrapped up, they realized that their relationship was not meant to be.

Love Is Blind season 6 is currently streaming on Netflix.

Editor's P/S:

The revelation about Jimmy's deception has cast a shadow over the already tumultuous "Love Is Blind" journey for Chelsea. Her trust has been shattered, and it's understandable why she feels betrayed. The fact that Jimmy's lie was exposed so casually, through a misstep on his part, suggests a pattern of dishonesty that goes beyond this isolated incident.

Chelsea's decision to confront Jimmy via text message highlights her struggle to navigate the situation. She was torn between addressing the issue immediately and risking further conflict or waiting until a more opportune moment. Her text message, "Was it all worth it?," reflects her disappointment and the realization that Jimmy's actions were not aligned with his professed intentions. The host's observation that Jimmy's behavior on a Tuesday suggests a frequent pattern of deception adds to the weight of Chelsea's concerns.
