Golfer Jordan Spieth disclosed that Rickie Fowler has withdrawn from the 49ers group's imminent acquisition of Leeds United, citing the club's demotion to the Championship. Spieth, along with golfing counterpart Justin Thomas, has acquired shares in the 49ers group pending EFL verifications, expressing optimism for the club's prospects.
Speaking to We News in an exclusive interview, Spieth highlighted the fact that although relegation was not an ideal situation, they were able to collaborate with the 49ers group. This collaboration involved purchasing a larger share and joining forces to achieve success, just as they have done in every endeavor they have undertaken.

"We saw it as an amazing chance to be a part of something special. The city is vibrant, the club has a rich history, and the venue at Elland Road is excellent. As we delved deeper, we became more and more enthralled by the potential excitement it held.
"The 49ers renegotiated their agreement following relegation, and it could potentially be a more favorable deal, provided they can secure promotion to the Premier League in the near future."
"I'm excited to have a team I'm emotionally invested in. I've watched the Premier League intently for a few years. Hopefully, we'll be back very soon."

When asked about the deal's status, Spieth confidently declared, "The deal is finalized. Justin (Thomas) and I have acquired a minority stake. Since my Cowboys always lose to the 49ers every year, I figured it's better to join them if I can't beat them!" Unfortunately, Rickie (Fowler) opted out after the team's demotion.
