Kyle Richards Accuses Dorit Kemsley of Prematurely Discussing Mauricio Umansky's Issues on Camera

Kyle Richards, a star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, voiced her displeasure with her costar Dorit Kemsley for discussing her marital issues on camera before she was prepared to address them. During an appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark on Friday, October 27, Richards, 54, commented on the situation after watching a sneak peek of the upcoming episode of RHOBH, set to air on Bravo on Wednesday, November 1.

She expressed her dissatisfaction, stating, "It would have been more preferable if she had posed that question to me privately, without the camera present. I was genuinely unhappy with the situation. I believe my frustration was quite evident."

In the video, Kemsley, aged 47, probed Richards about her relationship with her husband, Mauricio Umansky. "Lately, have you been contemplating the possibility of not being together with Mau?" Kemsley asked, pointing out that Richards' Instagram posts suggested that the couple had been spending significant time apart.

Richards replied, “I feel like I needed a little freedom — freedom and some space.”

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's relationship will be explored in Season 13 of RHOBH. The season premiered on October 25 and will focus on the challenges they have faced in their marriage. After 27 years together, the couple confirmed their separation in July. Following the news, they released a statement on Instagram acknowledging the difficulties they had experienced throughout the past year.

Richard shared her feelings of anger and bitterness with cohosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on Friday as she prepared to watch the airing of the ups and downs on television. This candid response to Kemsley's questioning occurred after Richards had expressed surprise at seeing photos of Umansky holding hands with his Dancing With the Stars partner, Emma Slater, during a dinner outing in Beverly Hills on October 22nd.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Wednesday, October 25, Richards expressed how difficult it was for him to witness the situation. He admitted that it hurt his feelings and although he is unsure if anything has transpired, he acknowledged that there is an underlying issue. Despite this, Richards emphasized that he still has deep affection for the person involved and they maintain a friendly relationship. However, the incident genuinely caused him pain.

Umansky addressed the rumors of his romantic involvement with Slater, clarifying the situation on social media the following day. In an Instagram Story video, he made it clear that they are not dating, emphasizing that their connection stems from their extensive dance rehearsals - a commitment of six weeks, dedicating four hours per day, without fail.

He continued, "After rehearsal, we decided to go to a restaurant for some sushi. It's been a really intense and emotional week. We were discussing our experiences throughout the week over dinner. When we finished, I reached out to hold Emma's hand. She held onto mine and we walked to our cars, still recapping our conversations."

Despite the ongoing drama between Umansky and Richards, he chose to dedicate his performance on DWTS to his estranged wife on Tuesday, October 24. As part of the Most Memorable Year theme, the real estate mogul selected 1996, the year they got married.

Richards and Umansky welcomed their daughter Alexia when Richards was four months pregnant. Richards already had a 34-year-old daughter named Farrah from her previous marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie. In 2000 and 2008, the couple further expanded their family with the birth of daughters Sophia and Portia, respectively.
