Content: The relationship between Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton has had its share of highs and lows over the years. This was evident during the filming of season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The sisters' tension reached its peak during a cast trip to Aspen, as shown in a September episode of the Bravo series. Lisa Rinna provided a glimpse into her conflict with Kathy, who is 63 years old.
"My mind is completely foggy from the events of last night. It's much worse than a typical hangover. We were at the club and Kathy was having an intense breakdown. I've never witnessed anything like this before," Lisa, 59, expressed to the cameras. "I'm still stunned and speechless about what I saw. I never would have expected this behavior from anyone in our group, especially not Kathy Hilton."
According to the former soap star, Kathy began to unleash her frustrations about Kyle, 53, during the night out. "She was shouting that she 'created' Kyle. Kathy believes she is responsible for Kyle's success and exclaimed, 'I will ruin Kyle and her entire family, even if it's the last thing I ever do,'" Lisa alleged.
The Halloween Ends star was perplexed by her older sister's choice to avoid confronting their problems. Despite having reconciled in the past, the Little House on the Prairie alum had anticipated a different reaction. "I truly believed that we would never encounter difficulties again," Kyle confessed in the episode. "I'm at a loss for how to resolve this."
Two months earlier, Kathy shared her unexpected frustration about a private conversation that was filmed. In an exclusive interview with We in July 2022, she admitted that there was no excuse for her behavior. Kathy had been busy promoting the book "Paris in Love" on various talk shows, both during the day and in the evening. To add to her exhaustion, she had to wake up early at 4 a.m. to catch a flight to LA and then wait for three hours for a flight to Aspen. The combination of fatigue and high altitude made her feel sensitive.
Reflecting on the situation, Kathy expressed regret over her approach. She had believed it was a private conversation and simply wanted someone to console her, assuring her that her relationship with her sisters would be fine despite the fatigue. She admitted that she should have kept her thoughts to herself, as she loves both her sisters and regrets sharing her feelings with anyone else.

A Breakdown of Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton's Feud: From Their Aspen Trip to 'RHOBH' Stars Taking Sides
Maintaining the family bond? The dynamics between Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton have experienced various highs and lows throughout the years — and their participation in the filming of season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills proved no exception.
During a cast trip to Aspen in a September episode of the Bravo series, the tension between the sisters reached its climax. Lisa Rinna, 59, provided some insight into the altercation between herself and Kathy Hilton, 63.
"I'm still in a daze after last night's events. It's far worse than a typical hangover. We were at the club when Kathy had a complete breakdown. I've never witnessed anything like it," Lisa stated to the cameras. "I'm too stunned to say much about it. This behavior is completely unexpected, especially coming from Kathy Hilton."
Kathy, a former soap star, began venting about her problems with her 53-year-old sister, Kyle, during their night out. Lisa asserted that Kathy was shouting about how she had "made" Kyle and took responsibility for her. Furthermore, Kathy threatened to destroy Kyle and her family, vowing to do so at any cost. This left the Halloween Ends actress perplexed as to why her older sister chose not to confront their problems.
After previously reconciling with Kathy prior to her joining the Bravo series, Kyle, known for her role in Little House on the Prairie, expressed disappointment in the response she received. In the same episode, she confessed, "I truly believed that we would never have any issues again. And I'm at a loss on how to fix this."
Two months earlier, Kathy shared her frustration about having a personal conversation filmed, something she did not expect. In an exclusive interview with We in July of 2022, she admitted, "There's no excuse for it. I was doing all the press for Paris in Love, including daytime and evening talk shows. Then I had to wake up at 4 a.m. and rush to the airport for a flight to L.A., followed by a three-hour wait for a flight to Aspen. I felt exhausted, affected by the high altitude, and a bit sensitive."
Reflecting on the situation, Kathy expressed remorse for her approach. She explained, "I thought it was a private conversation, and all I wanted was someone to reassure me that everything would be fine because you two love each other. I was just exhausted and needed to vent." Regretfully, she acknowledged, "I realize now that I love both my sisters dearly, they are my family, and I should have never confided in anyone."
In June 2023, the sisters set aside their differences. Kathy and Kyle reconciled during a family trip to Aspen, where they gathered to celebrate Whitney Davis' marriage to Luke White. While on vacation, their heartfelt reconciliation was caught on camera as Kathy extended her sincere apology to Kyle.
