Kroy Biermann demands fair share of profits from estranged wife Kim Zolciak's property sales, sparking a potential legal battle over marital assets

Since Kim Zolciak-Biermann split from her estranged husband Kroy Biermann, she has been selling shoes, clothing, and other items. Biermann, 38, filed paperwork on January 8 to seek "an equitable division of marital assets," including their shared home in Milton, Georgia, and the personal property acquired during the marriage.

According to court documents obtained by We, Biermann stated that Zolciak-Biermann, 45, accumulated a large collection of designer purses, shoes, and clothing during their marriage, with most of the items never being used or worn and having a total worth of hundreds of thousands of dollars. He also alleged that Zolciak-Biermann has started selling some of these personal items, with unknown use of the funds received from the sales. Additionally, the retired athlete claimed that none of the funds have been used to support their marital estate.

Us contacted Zolciak-Biermann for a statement. A footnote in the document stated that Zolciak-Biermann received $80,000 per episode for the reality series Don’t Be Tardy, which aired from 2012 to 2020. Biermann, on the other hand, was paid $20,000 per episode.

Another footnote states that Zolciak-Biermann raked in “about $600,000 per season” from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, totaling roughly $3 million for five seasons on the show, while Biermann allegedly brought in “just over” $14 million during his football career with the Atlanta Falcons.

Kroy Biermann, seen in the image above, and his estranged spouse both sought divorce in May 2023 after being married for 11 years. While they briefly reconciled in July, Biermann filed for divorce again in August 2023. During this time, the couple has been dealing with financial issues, which Biermann mentioned in a recent filing.

"The marital estate is burdened with substantial debt," the documents stated, revealing that the IRS has placed a $1.1 million lien on the couple's home.

"Due to the parties' severe financial circumstances, it is crucial for the Court to identify and preserve all marital property eligible for equitable division," the filing elaborated.

Last month, an exclusive source revealed to Us that Kim Zolciak-Biermann used some of the funds from her recent selling spree to buy gifts for her children. The reality TV star shares two sons, Kroy “KJ” Jr., 12, and Kash, 11, as well as twins Kaia and Kane, 10, with her husband Kroy Biermann. Biermann is also the adoptive father of Zolciak-Biermann’s daughters from a previous relationship, Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 22.

The insider shared, "Kim sold a bunch of stuff to buy her children gifts this year. She wanted to give them a good Christmas."

The source also claimed that “Kroy didn’t buy a single gift” for the kids, saying that he “either didn’t want to spend the money or didn’t have the money.”

Biermann's attorney later informed Us in an exclusive statement that the former athlete "did not purchase gifts, also known as 'stuff,' for the kids, but instead opted to give them the gift of spending quality time together."

The statement continued, "He brought his children to church and then prepared a large dinner for the family. Kroy gave his children the valuable gifts of time and Christmas memories, rather than just material possessions. After the children unwrapped their presents, Kim spent the remainder of the day in her basement living area."
