Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kroy Biermann, amidst a contentious divorce, stand unwavering in their shared dedication to prioritize the well-being of their children.
According to a trusted source speaking exclusively with We, "Regardless of the challenges that Kim and Kroy are facing, their children's needs will perpetually take precedence. This unwavering commitment is their utmost priority, as it will serve as a guiding principle for their future co-parenting journey."
The source reveals that despite their personal feelings, they are committed to maintaining a friendly relationship for the sake of their children. Despite having disagreements over child custody in the past, Zolciak-Biermann and Biermann presented a united front when they were recently captured in photos taking their kids to church, as reported by TMZ.
The former football player, 37, and The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 45, ended their 11-year marriage in May. However, they have been unable to agree on the terms of their separation. Biermann even went so far as to request full custody of their four minor children, including their sons Kroy "KJ" Jr. (11), Kash (10), and twins Kaia and Kane (9). Biermann had also legally adopted Zolciak-Biermann's two oldest daughters, Brielle and Ariana, from previous relationships after their wedding in November 2011.
As the divorce battle continues, Zolciak-Biermann has requested that Biermann undergo a drug test before being allowed to spend time with their children. In response, Biermann has filed his own motion, asking that his estranged wife undergo a psychological evaluation. He has alleged that she is incapable of properly caring for their children.
"They're engaging in a retaliatory exchange," a second source disclosed exclusively to Us in May regarding the court filings submitted by both individuals.
As for Brielle, 26, she initially sided with her mother in the divorce proceedings and promptly ceased following Biermann on Instagram.
“Brielle's strong bond with Brielle and Kim is widely recognized, which explains why she naturally sided with her mother during their divorce proceedings,” revealed a source last month. "Initially, Brielle was upset because her mother was upset, which led her to unfollow Kroy. However, after taking some time to reflect, Brielle realized that she loves her father as well. Kroy has been a consistent source of love and support in her life since he entered the picture."
In the end, Brielle decided to refollow her stepfather because she genuinely cares for both of her parents. She even took the opportunity to express her love and appreciation for Biermann on Father's Day.
She captioned an Instagram Story picture on June 18 with "Happy Father's Day!" shortly before her sister Ariana, 21, shared their family celebrations on her own social media page.
