Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are currently in a custody battle, and they will be evaluated on their parenting abilities by an outside party.

An expert, known as a parent fitness evaluator, has been assigned to assess the couple and their four minor children - Kroy Jr. (12), Kash (11), and twins Kaia and Kane (10). The evaluator will visit their home to observe how they interact as a family. Additionally, they may also visit the children's school and consult with other professionals who have experience working with the family.

The ongoing divorce between Zolciak, 45, and Biermann has taken a new turn with the addition of outside authority. Their divorce proceedings began in May 2023, and custody of their children has been a major point of contention. Apart from their four minor children, Biermann, 38, also adopted Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 22, from Zolciak's previous relationship.

However, the situation escalated when one of their children had to step in during a heated argument between Zolciak and Biermann. According to a police report from November 2023, one of the kids called 911 and reported that "his dad was hitting his mom."

The police officers came to the family's house in Georgia to talk to Biermann, who was being argumentative. They explained why they were there and then talked to the children who were also there.

One child during the exchange mentioned, "It looked like Kroy may have hit [Kim]." When asked to explain further about the altercation, the child stated that Biermann "put his hand into her face" but clarified that it wasn't done in an "aggressive manner." The other children informed the officers repeatedly that the argument "never turned physical" and their parents were simply "just yelling at each other."

The authorities stepped in to help Zolciak and Biermann resolve their situation. Zolciak chose to stay at a hotel with her daughter for the night. The police determined that no crime had taken place and departed.

Along with their divorce, Biermann and Zolciak are dealing with the possibility of foreclosure on their home. They have managed to avoid foreclosure multiple times in the past. In February 2023, it was reported that their mansion was scheduled for auction, but the auction was eventually called off.

In January, documents obtained by Us revealed that Zolciak and Biermann have "defaulted on their mortgage." Truist Bank stated that they have the "right" to foreclose on the property if the couple does not settle their debt. Biermann had sought a restraining order against the foreclosure, but Truist Bank argued that his request should be "denied."
