Kim Kardashian recently posted a throwback photo with her and Taylor Swift's former best friend Karlie Kloss. This came after the release of Swift's diss track "thanK you aIMee," sparking speculation about a possible message being sent.
On April 22, Kim celebrated her friend Derek Blasberg's birthday on her Instagram Story. Among the photos shared, there was a 2022 throwback picture of Kim, Blasberg, Kloss, and Kim's sister Khloé Kardashian.
Many Swifties thought that Kim posted the photo as a response to Taylor Swift, 34, following her song from The Tortured Poets Department that seems to be directed at the reality star.
Some users on Twitter expressed their thoughts, with one saying, "Wow I thought this was fake but maybe she does deserve the 'thank you, Aimee' comments," while another commented, "This is Kim's way of trying to suggest that the song is about Karlie instead of her."
In Taylor Swift's 11th studio album, which was released on Friday, April 19, fans were quick to notice a particular song called “thanK you aIMee.” This song had random letters capitalized that spelled out the name Kim. In this track, Swift portrays the character “Aimee” as a high school bully.
The lyrics of the song go like this: “All that time you were throwin’ punches, I was buildin’ somethin’/ And I can’t forgive the way you made me feel / Screamed ‘F–k you, Aimee’ to the night sky, as the blood was gushin’.” Despite the intense lyrics, Swift ultimately thanks “Aimee” for helping her heal.
After the song was released, Kim faced a backlash from Swifties, losing more than 120,000 followers on Instagram. Fans mentioned the track's title and urged Kim's mom, Kris Jenner, to intervene and resolve the situation.

“Kris, you need to help Kim. why you being quiet. Work that magic on this TayTay drama, girl,” one user wrote in Jenner’s comment section.
Kim made her first public appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, April 22. However, she chose not to address Swift's song and simply mentioned, "Life is good."
The feud between Swift and Kim dates back over a decade. It all started when Kim's ex-husband, Kanye West, interrupted Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs in 2009. Then, nearly seven years later, Swift was upset when West included controversial lyrics about her in his song "Famous." West claimed that he had spoken to Swift before releasing the track.
What is the top song on Taylor Swift's album 'The Tortured Poets Department?' After Swift claimed she was not aware that the word "b--ch" would be included, Kim Kardashian posted a video of Swift and Kanye West's phone conversation on Snapchat. She also added snake emojis and later on National Snake Day, she shared more snake emojis.
In March 2019, Swift looked back on the "online hate" she had faced after Kim's video.
She shared with Elle, "A few years back, someone initiated an online hate campaign against me by labeling me as a snake on the web. The overwhelming support it gained made me feel more down than ever before. While it would be great to receive an apology from those who bully us, perhaps all I will ever have is the satisfaction of knowing I could overcome it and succeed despite it."
