Kelly Ripa's Secret Matchmaking Revealed: Her Relentless Quest to Unite Her Son and Lisa Rinna's Daughter

Kelly Ripa used to hope that her children and Lisa Rinna's children would marry each other, as revealed during a conversation on her talk show, Live With Kelly and Mark, on October 12th.

"Yes, it's a true story," Rinna confirmed.

While Ripa didn't clarify which of her two sons she was talking about, she mentioned Rinna and Harry Hamlin's younger daughter, Amelia Gray Hamlin, who is 22 years old. (Rinna and Harry, who is 71 years old, also have another daughter named Delilah Belle Hamlin, who is 25.)

"For years and years, I made efforts. But then one day, Amelia made a dazzling entrance on the runway - I believe it was her inaugural fashion show - and I realized, 'No need, he wouldn't appreciate her charms,'" Ripa chuckled. "I texted her, saying, 'Forget it, he wouldn't understand.'"

In addition to reliving her matchmaking endeavors, the talk show host also extended her congratulations to Rinna for Amelia's flourishing modeling career. "Whenever I catch a glimpse of your daughter, she reminds me so much of you that I have to pause," she expressed.

Rinna, a former cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, expressed her joy at witnessing Amelia's successful career and personal growth, describing it as an amazing experience. Amelia's romantic life gained attention in 2020 when she started dating Scott Disick. However, the couple broke up in September 2021, with insider sources revealing that Amelia initiated the split.

Three months later, Amelia took to Instagram to contemplate the ups and downs of the year.

"In 2021, it was all about bleached brows and fulfilling dreams," she expressed. "Little did I know that I would eventually rediscover my true identity in a more genuine way."

Amelia is pursuing her fashion aspirations, but Disick, aged 40, has been facing challenges lately. On the latest episode of The Kardashians, he confided in Khloé Kardashian about the lingering effects of his car accident in 2022.

"When you came over, you see I've gained quite a bit of weight because of my back," he shared with Kardashian, aged 39. "Since the car accident, my back pain has progressively worsened."

During a later confession, Khloé mentioned that Disick, who has children Mason (13), Reign (8), and Penelope (11) with his ex-girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian, could benefit from some encouragement to help him regain his focus.

"This is the worst I've seen him in terms of his health. His back pain has severely limited his mobility, which is distressing," she expressed. "I believe Scott needs to understand that these issues are surmountable. He shouldn't let them bring him down."
