Kelly Ripa demonstrated resilience by swiftly recovering from a minor wardrobe mishap during an episode of Live With Kelly and Mark.
Following a segment titled "Dog Days of Summer" on Tuesday, July 25, Ripa, who is 52 years old, and her coanchor and husband, Mark Consuelos, highlighted adoptable dogs. It was during this segment that Ripa noticed a button had become detached from her silk jumpsuit. Concerned, she jokingly remarked, "I hope one of the dogs didn't devour my button," as she reached for her sleeve.
Consuelos, who is 52 years old, quickly consoled her by saying, "No, no, I'm confident that it simply got detached." Shortly after, an individual off camera directed everyone's attention towards the floor, where Ripa's button had unexpectedly landed.

"Allow me to retrieve it," she exclaimed, leaping from her desk. Ripa promptly returned to her seat and continued with the show.
Donned in an ensemble consisting of billowy pants, a buttoned-up top, and long sleeves, her attire was completed with convenient pockets. For an elegant touch, she styled her hair with a side part and adorned her head with loosely-formed curls. Her makeup showcased a delicate contour, elongated lashes, and a peachy hue on the lips. To add a final touch, she embellished her look with silver studs and coordinating necklaces.
Ripa has had previous instances of fashion mishaps. In May, she disclosed to audience members about a minor wardrobe mishap she experienced backstage involving her hot pink dress with puff sleeves.
Consuelos amusingly suggested various ways he could prolong their introductions to the audience. "With the amount of control I have, I might become unstoppable. Who knows what could happen?"
Before her wardrobe emergency in May, Ripa wore the same dress during an April episode of Live, where she experienced another style mishap. During a dance lesson with Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy from Dancing with the Stars, her vibrant dress tore.
"After being dipped in the dance, did the entire back of my dress rip open?!" she asked Consuelos.
"No, just a little," he replied, casually inspecting her dress. Handing her the torn belt, she effortlessly ripped it off. "Who cares?" she shrugged, continuing to dance.
Ripa and Consuelos have been married for over 27 years. They initially crossed paths in 1995, when Ripa auditioned him for a role on All My Children. The following year, they secretly got married in Las Vegas. In 1997, their first child, Michael, was born, followed by daughter Lola in 2001. Two years later, their youngest, Joaquin, arrived in 2003.
Consuelos became a cohost on Live in April, following Ryan Seacrest's departure from the show in 2017 to dedicate his attention to hosting American Idol and other commitments.
