Witness Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos bring humor to life as they put their own twist on Nicole Kidman's popular AMC Theatres commercial during the Oscars post-show festivities.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos created a funny parody of Nicole Kidman's famous 2021 AMC Theatres commercial during their Academy Awards aftershow.

Ripa, who is 53 years old, posted the parody on Instagram on Friday, March 8, with the caption, "Excitedly waiting for Live's After the Oscars Show...."

The hosts of Live With Kelly and Mark decided to recreate a popular viral commercial for their upcoming episode about the 96th annual Academy Awards. They both dressed in matching blue and silver pinstripe suits and even mimicked the original intro narration. The awards show will take place on Sunday, March 10th at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

In the funny video, the scene opens with a woman in high heels walking through a puddle after a rain shower. As the camera angle changes, Kelly Ripa is revealed as she slowly lowers the hood of her raincoat and looks up at the "LIVE" sign on the side of a movie theater. She smiles and walks inside where she joins her husband, Mark Consuelos, aged 52. The couple sits together and watches a series of movie trailers featuring themselves as the stars.

Classic movies like A Few Good Men, Princess Bride, There’s Something About Mary, Basic Instinct, and Dirty Dancing are imitated in the movie montage. The duo is seen in costume performing the famous lift from the finale of Dirty Dancing. Consuelos then turns to the camera and declares, “Nobody puts Kelly in a corner.”

The Oscar-nominated blockbuster Barbie is also featured in the movie montage. Ripa is dressed in a head-to-toe pink outfit and wears a long, braided blonde wig as she drives down the highway in Barbie’s signature pink convertible, singing. Consuelos is in the backseat, dressed as Ken with blonde hair.

During the movie trailers, viewers get a glimpse of the couple watching the clips from their seats and becoming emotional at times. Consuelos even wipes away a tear with a tissue while watching himself in a scene from A Few Good Men.

On Live's After the Oscars episode, viewers can look forward to Project Runway's Elaine Welteroth discussing Oscars fashion, musician Andy Grammer performing various songs, and comedian Sebastian Maniscalco sharing his thoughts on the night. Additionally, The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer will be a red carpet correspondent for Live, while Ripa and Consuelos will conduct backstage interviews with Oscar winners right after they receive their awards.

This year's show will be even more exciting for the TV couple. Consuelos will be hosting the After the Oscars show as a permanent cohost for the first time, and they will be back in the studio for the regular morning show a few hours later.

The 2024 Oscars, which will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will be aired live from Los Angeles on ABC Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.
