Keke Palmer is keeping busy with her upcoming movie, memoir, and music projects, describing herself as a "jack of all trades." However, she emphasizes the importance of prioritizing self-care.
During the upfront presentation hosted by Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video on Tuesday, May 14, Palmer, 30, shared, "For me, it's not about the things I do, but about mastering myself. It's a continuous journey of self-improvement. When you can master yourself, you can excel in various areas and make things work for you."
Palmer shared that the theme of self-mastery is central to her upcoming memoir, Master of Me, which will be available in stores this November. She explained, "My journey of mastering myself is about becoming everything I aspire to be and more."
In addition to her book, Palmer has a role in the Amazon movie The Pickup, co-starring with Pete Davidson and Eddie Murphy. The film is described as a heist comedy, starting with Davidson and Murphy's characters attempting a job that is interrupted by Palmer's character, Zoe.
Palmer explained to Us that when they first meet Zoe, they have a certain impression of her. However, as the story unfolds, they realize that she is not who they initially thought she was. This realization deepens even further as the movie progresses, revealing that people are not always what they seem. It's a reminder not to judge a book by its cover.
According to Palmer, the film's underlying message revolves around the idea that everyone faces struggles. Sometimes, a person may appear to be the villain, but in reality, they could be the hero.

In the real world, Palmer is a mother to her 14-month-old son, Leodis. She believes that if she were ever asked to participate in a hypothetical heist, she could be someone to rely on.
When it comes to planning the strategy of the heist, Palmer admits that it may not be her strong suit. She appreciates attention to detail but questions how committed she would be to the task. However, she is confident in her ability to carry out the task efficiently. If given a specific role, she believes she would excel without leaving any traces behind. She is prepared to be stealthy and focused on the job at hand.
When not appearing in movies, Palmer enjoys performing in upcoming shows. She also hinted at working on new music.
As for her favorite passion, Palmer expressed her love for hosting NBC's Password with Jimmy Fallon. She described it as the most fun, enjoying the lively dynamic between herself and Fallon.
