Katy Perry has a special wish for her 39th birthday.
On Wednesday, October 25, the singer and judge of American Idol celebrated her 39th birthday with her Idol family. In a video interview with Entertainment Tonight, Perry received a cake from host Ryan Seacrest and fellow judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, who sang "Happy Birthday" to her.
While blowing out the candles on the cake decorated with flowers, Perry reflected on what she would wish for. "I have everything, I am extremely fortunate," the singer of "Teenage Dream" stated, leaning in before continuing, "I know what I'm wishing for - peace."
Perry's colleagues from American Idol also threw her a surprise carnival-themed party, complete with balloons, fair games, and a dunk tank.
When asked if she would be spending her special day with her fiancé Orlando Bloom and their three-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, Perry shared that the rest of her birthday celebrations would be kept low-key this year.
The celebrity has extravagant aspirations for her 40th birthday. "I've had plans for turning 40 for years," Perry revealed. "I want it all!"
Additionally, the American Idol team was questioned about the approaching season of the iconic singing competition. They are presently in the process of auditioning talent for the 22nd season, which is scheduled to be broadcasted on ABC in early 2024. This will mark their seventh season as a united group.

“You can’t separate us,” Perry exclaimed. “You can’t break this fam down!”
“Don’t even try it!” Richie added.
"We are constantly discovering more about each other with every season, and this season has been particularly enlightening," Perry expressed. In the 21st season, the three hosts embarked on a journey to explore each other's hometowns, an experience Bryan likened to a captivating field trip.
In the meantime, Perry and Bloom, aged 46, have found themselves entangled in a legal dispute concerning the sale of their luxurious $15 million residence in California. The couple, who became engaged in 2019, found themselves named in a lawsuit filed by the seller, Carl Westcott. Westcott claimed that he was under the influence of pain medication following a major surgery at the time of the sale and has since had a change of heart.
Judge Joseph Lipner ruled on September 29 that Perry is required to testify in court. The confirmation states that the singer will be giving her testimony for an hour at the beginning of the damages segment of the trial. It is important to note that this trial is distinctly separate from the ongoing trial concerning the contract's validity.
