Kathy Griffin mocked Britney Spears’ viral dance video by playing with knives in order to promote her next live show.
Griffin, 62, shared an Instagram video on Tuesday, October 3, where she declared, "You heard me, we have knives, spatulas, and even a Vegas show @themiragelv on October 6th." In the clip, Griffin playfully danced in her kitchen, flaunting a paring knife and a spatula. She emphasized that these were not mere props, and she completed her quirky outfit with a pair of black rain boots.
"Join me this Friday at the Mirage in Las Vegas," she playfully exclaimed, raising the silverware above her head. "I'll be mocking anyone and anything, including myself!"
The video humorously imitated Spears' recent knife-dancing video, even featuring Griffin in a swimsuit.

In a recent Instagram post on September 26th, the 41-year-old pop star revealed her newfound hobby of "playing in the kitchen with knives." Britney Spears, donning a two-piece swimsuit, playfully danced around her house while holding the blades, assuring her followers that they were "not real knives."
While Spears didn't find anything wrong with the clip, her fans immediately expressed concern for her well-being. This concern led local police officers in Ventura County, California, to perform a welfare check.
According to Captain Dean Worthy of the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, a person close to Britney saw the video on social media. The video showed Britney dancing and twirling with knives in her hands, which raised concerns about her mental well-being. Captain Worthy stated, "We would typically not respond to fans reporting about a celebrity unless we believed there was a credible threat. However, we investigated this individual through LAPD and found that they have a personal connection to Britney."
Spears reassured her fans later on Instagram that she was perfectly fine, as she disclosed that her team had borrowed props from a local shop. Alongside a photo, she wrote, "There's no need to worry or involve the police. I was simply trying to channel one of my favorite performers, Shakira... a performance that truly inspired me! Cheers to all the fearless bad girls out there who dare to push boundaries and take risks!"

According to a source in the latest issue of We, the inner circle of the Grammy winner remains worried. The insider disclosed that she is in a precarious and vulnerable state at present. Additionally, it was reported that the blades used in the video were genuine, as Britney has had a past tendency to toy with knives. Concerns are mounting among her associates, although no one has taken action due to her quick dismissal of staff members.
In her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, Griffin provided further clarification for her decision to mimic Spears' video.
