Yuki attempts to stall for time by revisiting a philosophical discussion she had with Geto 12 years ago. She is convinced that the future of humanity depends on moving away from cursed energy. However, Pseudo-Geto argues that the key lies in maximizing the potential of cursed energy, seeking to push human capabilities to the limit.

Concerned about Pseudo-Geto's intentions, Yuki seeks information from Yuji about Mahito, a curse with the ability to manipulate souls. To her dismay, she learns that the villain has already assimilated Mahito and is now using the curse's technique to activate a cursed ability from a distance.

He also expresses his gratitude to Yuji for pushing Mahito beyond his limits and helping him to grow during their battle. Pseudo-Geto reveals that he has marked two types of non-sorcerers, one of which includes Tsumiki, who has been in a prolonged coma. The marked individuals were either exposed to cursed objects like Yuji, or already possessed cursed techniques, but their minds were intended to be non-sorcerers like Junpei.

The former gained the strength of vessels, while the latter had their brains altered for sorcery. Using a remote Idle Transfiguration, Pseudo-Geto breaks the seal on them. As he departs, Pseudo-Geto displays the Prison Realm to everyone and informs Sukuna that the Golden Age of curses, the world of Heian, is beginning anew.

Shortly after arriving in Japan, Yuta rescues a little girl from a curse and meets with the elders. Feeling resentful of his friend Toge Inumaki losing an arm because of Sukuna's rampage, Yuta willingly offers to enter a Binding Vow with them. He then declares his intentions to kill Yuji Itadori.

As per Jujutsu regulations, Geto's existence has been confirmed and he is sentenced to death again. Gojo has been branded a traitor and banished from the Jujutsu world for the serious offense of removing his seal. Masamichi Yaga is blamed for inciting Geto and Gojo to start the Shibuya Incident and receives the death penalty. Yuji, who had his death penalty revoked thanks to Gojo, is again sentenced to death with Yuta as his executioner.
