The ongoing Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen has sparked excitement for Season 3 with a recent viral post on social media. However, fans have expressed dissatisfaction with the news. Jujutsu Kaisen has played a significant role in the global recognition of Japanese animation and has garnered widespread acclaim since its manga serialization in 2018. The anime adaptation has further solidified its popularity within the community.
The first season of JJK was undeniably fantastic, but the second season's stunning animation style and unexpected plot twists propelled the series to even greater popularity. Amidst controversies surrounding MAPPA, fans were uncertain about the smoothness of JJK Season 2's release. However, excitement ignited when Gege Akutami hinted at a third season. Yet, appearances can be deceiving.
Fake Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 announcement sparks anger
A fan-created poster surfaced on X/Twitter from a bogus account under the guise of JJK’s creator, Gege Akutami. Despite its eventual deletion, the imposter garnered a substantial following in a short period of time.
Myamura, a well-known JJK leaker, posted this on his profile after the fake poster was cautioned by the anime community for sharing false information. He also lamented how the fake account continues to attract more followers each day, but expressed hope that the account will be suspended soon. Despite several user reports, the account remains active.
The community note states that the posts from this account are misleading and that it is not Gege Akutami's official X/Twitter account. The account is fan-made and no official announcement of a 3rd season has been made yet. Despite the fake announcement, there is still plenty of JJK content available for us to enjoy for the time being.

Editor's P/S
As a Gen Z fan, I feel both excited and disappointed about the recent news regarding Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3. On one hand, I am thrilled to hear that there might be a third season in the works, as I am a big fan of the anime and manga series. The second season has been incredibly well-received, and I am eager to see where the story goes next.
On the other hand, I am disappointed that the announcement turned out to be false. I was initially excited when I saw the news circulating on social media, but I was quickly let down when I realized it was just a hoax. It's frustrating to see fake news spread so easily, especially when it comes to something that I am passionate about.
I hope that the creators of Jujutsu Kaisen will eventually confirm that a third season is in the works, but until then, I will try to manage my expectations and not get too caught up in rumors. In the meantime, I will continue to enjoy the second season and look forward to any official announcements about the future of the series.
