Joe Jonas is providing an exclusive look into his preparation for The Tour, as well as the uplifting messages that motivate him before each performance. On Wednesday, October 11, the 34-year-old posted a mirror selfie on Instagram Stories, taken from backstage at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
The singer stared wistfully into a circular mirror adorned with a sticker that posed the question, "What emotions do you desire them to experience?" Jonas, dressed in a sleek black vest and matching trousers, noticed a message written in lipstick on the mirror.
The note stated, "I am exactly where I should be, at exactly the right moment, doing precisely what is necessary."
Although Jonas did not elaborate on the cryptic message's meaning, he did share more pictures from the concert as well as images of him doing push-ups backstage. Jonas, along with his bandmates Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas, who are also his siblings, have been embarking on their "Five Albums One Night" tour since August. On Monday, October 9, they brought The Tour to Nashville.
Joe has been facing a difficult time while juggling live shows. In September, it was revealed that he had filed for divorce from Sophie Turner after being married for four years. A messy custody battle ensued between Joe and Turner, who share the primary residency of their daughters. Willa, aged 3, and Delphine, aged 14 months, are dual citizens of the U.S. and the U.K.
Following the Jonas Brothers' Nashville show, Joe and Turner reached a settlement in their custody battle. They agreed to alternate custody of Willa and Delphine until January 7, 2024, and to split Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Additionally, the court documents stated that both parents are allowed to travel with the girls between the U.S. and England.
Joe and Turner have stated in a joint statement to Us on Tuesday, October 10 that, following a successful and productive mediation, they have reached an agreement for their children to divide their time equally between loving homes in both the U.S. and the UK. They express their anticipation in becoming great coparents. During The Tour, Joe has found support in his brothers amidst the separation.
The entire family has always had a strong and loving relationship with Joe, and they have been offering their unwavering support during this challenging period. They understand that the decision to divorce was not an easy one for Joe, but they are standing by him and providing assistance in every possible way. Moreover, the Jonas family takes immense pride in Joe prioritizing his daughters' wellbeing. Although it is a difficult time, their primary focus is being there for Joe and readily assisting him with whatever he requires.
