Jimmie Allen and Alexis Gale sparked an instant connection when they met through the country star’s cousin — but their relationship hasn’t always been easy.

Allen and Gale, both originally from Delaware, were introduced by one of Allen's relatives in early 2019, and they quickly fell in love.

In March 2020, the Grammy Award nominee and Gale joyfully welcomed their daughter Naomi into the world, joining Allen's son Aadyn from a previous relationship. After getting married in May 2021, the couple recently added a new addition to their growing family with the arrival of their second daughter, Zara, in October 2021.

July 2019

Allen popped the question in front of Cinderella’s Castle at Disney World.

"Could this actually signify that I will have the opportunity to age gracefully alongside you?! Just yesterday, I wholeheartedly accepted the notion of being eternally linked with you," Gale expressed on Instagram in that fleeting moment. "The depth of my emotions cannot be adequately expressed, and I am profoundly fortunate to have the privilege of referring to this remarkable individual as my betrothed."

March 2020

Amid their engagement, Gale learned she was pregnant with the pair’s first child together. Naomi arrived in March.

The couple’s second daughter, Zara, arrived on October 16, less than one week after Allen and DWTS pro partner Emma Slater performed during Disney Villains Night.

April 2023

The “Good Times Roll” musician confirmed to Us on April 21 that the pair had separated amid Gale's third pregnancy.

"Our topmost concern will forever be the well-being and happiness of our children, and we are firmly dedicated to maintaining a loving and respectful co-parenting relationship," stated Allen. "Given the expansion of our family, we kindly request privacy during this period."

Both parties simultaneously filed for divorce on April 28 within a two-hour window. Reports indicate that Allen is pursuing joint custody, whereas Gale believes it would be in the children's "best interest" for her to have primary residential custody.

May 2023

News broke that Allen is being sued by his former manager for assault and sexual harassment. While he denied the allegations, he seemingly admitted to cheating on Gale. 

“It is deeply distressing and painful that an individual I considered one of my closest companions, colleagues, and confidants would fabricate allegations that are entirely baseless. I admit that we engaged in a consensual intimate relationship which lasted for nearly two years. Throughout that period, she never once leveled any accusations against me, and instead expressed her desire to maintain our relationship and friendship indefinitely,” his statement conveyed. “It is only after our relationship ended that she sought legal assistance to demand monetary compensation, causing me to question her motives. The indisputable truth is that her accusations are not only false but also highly detrimental. I have dedicated immense effort to build my professional reputation, thus I am fully committed to robustly defending myself against her claims and taking any necessary legal measures to safeguard my name."

September 2023

Gale confirmed via Instagram that her and Allen’s third baby, son Cohen Ace James, was born on September 27.

Days after the arrival of their third child, Allen's spokesperson confirmed to People that the couple has chosen to address their issues and remain united. The spokesperson clarified that the divorce proceedings between Allen and Gale were never finalized.
