Jennifer Hudson and Common Spark More Romance Speculation at Los Angeles Clippers Game

Jennifer Hudson and Common have taken their rumored relationship to the basketball court.
Hudson, 42, and Common, 51, were seen at the Los Angeles Clippers game on Wednesday, January 10. Hudson wore a black leather jacket and matching pants with glasses, while Common opted for a denim jacket. The pair has been the subject of dating rumors for about two years and they supported the Clippers as they secured a victory over the Toronto Raptors with a final score of 126 to 120.
The two Oscar winners were initially connected in July 2022 when they were seen having dinner together in Philadelphia. Hudson and Common, who denied any romantic involvement at the time, were cast as a married couple in the upcoming thriller Breathe, which was filmed that month in Pennsylvania.
Throughout 2022 and 2023, Hudson and Common (real name Lonnie Rashid Lynn) were frequently seen together. In November 2023, the actress confirmed that she was in a relationship.
"I am very happy, yes, ma'am," Hudson told Gayle King during a November 2023 episode of CBS This Morning. "I think it's more sophisticated than being in a relationship. It's definitely not a complicated situation, that's for sure."
While Hudson has not revealed the identity of her mystery man, she was previously in a relationship with David Otunga, with whom she has a son named David Jr., 14. Hudson and Otunga, 43, ended their relationship in November 2017.

"My mother was very selective about who she allowed around her children, and I am the same way. I am extremely cautious and careful," she explained to the magazine. "I understand how important it is for kids to feel comfortable with the people their parents date. That's why I took a long time before getting back into dating. My main focus has always been on my child. The energy of the people I bring into my life is very important to me. I am very particular and sensitive about these things."
Meanwhile, Common has been previously romantically linked to Erykah Badu, Taraji P. Henson, and Serena Williams. His most recent relationship was with Tiffany Haddish between 2020 and 2021.
