Alicia Silverstone’s son Bear is all grown up.
Clueless star Alicia Silverstone, 47, attended the Los Angeles Clippers game against the Houston Rockets on Friday, November 17, accompanied by her 12-year-old son. Silverstone looked stylish in a green coat paired with an all-black outfit, while her son showed his support for the home team by wearing a Clippers jersey. Before the game started, Bear could be seen playing basketball on the court at the Crypto.com arena, with his mom watching affectionately. Silverstone, who co-parents Bear with her ex-husband Christopher Jarecki, has openly expressed her joy of motherhood since welcoming her son in 2011. She frequently shares their strong bond and their shared love for basketball on social media.
In December 2022, Silverstone announced that she had received a signed jersey from NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo as a Hanukkah gift.
Sharing a video of Bear unwrapping the present, Silverstone affectionately captioned it with, "Excited cutie." She also expressed gratitude towards @giannis_an34 for the cherished gift and wished everyone a joyful holiday season, sending her love.
In addition to capturing the duo's most endearing moments, Silverstone has also garnered attention for her unconventional choices as a parent. When Bear was 10 months old, Silverstone stirred up controversy by revealing that she fed her toddler in a manner reminiscent of a baby bird.
"I just enjoyed a delightful breakfast consisting of miso soup, steamed collards and radish with a drizzle of flax oil, mochi cooked in a cast iron skillet with nori wrapping, and some grated daikon. Delicious!" Silverstone shared in a 2012 Instagram video. "I fed Bear the mochi and a small portion of veggies from the soup ... directly from my mouth to his. It's his favorite way to eat ... and mine too."

Despite receiving criticism for her parenting style, Silverstone remains unfazed. In a recent interview on “The Ellen Fisher Podcast” in July 2022, the American Woman star disclosed that she continues to share a bed with her 11-year-old son, Bear.
“I embody the essence of a nurturing mother who embraces her natural instincts. Love and nature are my guiding principles, but unfortunately, our society tends to shy away from these fundamental values," she expressed. She further stated that she remains indifferent to people's opinions about her and her partner sharing a bed.
Silverstone and Jarecki, 46, were married for 13 years before she filed for divorce from the musician in February 2018. Their divorce was officially concluded nine months later, with Silverstone being mandated to provide her ex-husband with $12,000 per month in spousal support until January 2024.
Despite their breakup, the former couple has maintained a friendly relationship. Silverstone shared in an exclusive interview with We Magazine in November 2018 that she feels fortunate to have a strong co-parenting bond with her ex-partner when it comes to their son, Bear. She mentioned that they both spend time with Bear, unless there are circumstances where she is away shooting for a project. However, in most cases, Bear accompanies her. Silverstone acknowledged that there is no one-size-fits-all formula for making a relationship or co-parenting situation work, but for them, it simply does. The underlying factor is their shared love for their son and each other.
